Setting up Call-Home

The wizard will guide you through the following steps to configure call-home for the desired system:

  1. Administrator: Specify contact information for the system administrator of the HMC you are configuring.
  2. System: Specify physical location information for the system being configured.
  3. Account: Provide account information including customer number, enterprise number, branch office, and area.
  4. HMC Connectivity: Select which type(s) of connection this HMC can use to connect with your service provider:
  5. Service Agreement: If this HMC is configured for connectivity, you must read and accept the Service Agreement to continue.
  6. Configuration:
  7. Call-Home Server Consoles: Listed and selected is your local HMC. Select Use discovered call-home consoles to configure which call-home servers can be used as a call-home server for this HMC. By default, this HMC will 'discover' and list any HMC on the same subnet and any HMC that manages a common managed system.
  8. Summary: After completing the configuration, your current configuration is displayed and you are given the option to test problem submission.
