Uninstrumenting an application server

When you no longer want to collect profiling data from a server, you can uninstrument the server. You must uninstrument all servers before you uninstall the data collection infrastructure.

To uninstrument a server:

  1. Select the server instance from the list.
  2. Click Uninstrument Server.
  3. Click OK. If security is enabled on the server, provide your user ID and password for the server. Click OK.
  4. If the removal fails, you are prompted to force the removal and ignore errors.
Warning: This option simply removes the server from the list of application servers. Use this only as a last resort, as it may leave servers in an unstable state.
  5. If necessary, repeat these steps to uninstrument all instances of a particular server.

After uninstrumenting the server, the tool attempts to restart the server automatically. If the tool is unable to restart the server, you are notified that you must restart the server manually.
