IBM® Rational® Business Developer provides support for EGL, which is a programming language that simplifies software development.
When you use EGL, you can focus on the business problem that your code is addressing rather than on the detailed aspects of software technology. For example, the details of Java Enterprise Edition are hidden so that you can deliver enterprise data to browsers even if you have minimal experience with web technologies.
For information about hardware and software compatibility, see the detailed system requirements document at http://ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=3456&uid=swg27021798.
For detailed installation instructions, see the installation guide at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rbdhelp/v8r0m0.
Before you can install this product, you must install IBM Installation Manager, Version 1.4.4. For information about working with Installation Manager, visit the Installation Manager Information Center.
Known problems are recorded as individual documents in the support knowledge base. As problems are discovered and resolved, the knowledge base is updated and maintained with new information. By searching the knowledge base, you can quickly find workarounds or solutions to problems.
To learn about the known limitations in this update, and any workarounds that are available, view the known problems for Rational Business Developer.
