Managed Java beans

This section explains the purpose and functionality of all the managed Java beans within the JavaServer Faces Components for BusinessObjects Enterprise. These beans contain the data and underlying logic of the application, which can be accessed by the UI components on the page through bindings to bean properties. The managed beans encapsulate information that is used repeatedly, such as user authentication credentials and BusinessObjects Enterprise items.

• EnterpriseItem bean

This managed bean is the source for a single BusinessObjects Enterprise object such as a report, folder, or program.

• EnterpriseItems bean

This managed bean is the source for a collection of BusinessObjects Enterprise objects such as reports, folders, or programs.

• Identity bean

This managed bean enables users to log on and log off BusinessObjects Enterprise. It also represents an individual user in the system, and manages Enterprise sessions between page requests.
