Entering a keycode into the License Manager

When you purchase Crystal Reports for Eclipse Professional, you will receive a runtime license keycode by email.

To enter the keycode
  1. Start Eclipse.
  2. On the Window menu, click Preferences.
  3. Expand the Crystal Reports node, click License Manager, and then enter the keycode.
  4. Click Install to install the keycode.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Restart Eclipse.

Note:    Once the keycode is installed, it will automatically be used by all new web projects. Existing projects must be upgraded as explained in Upgrading an existing project.

Upgrading an existing project

To upgrade an existing project, the CRConfig.xml file for each web project must be updated with the keycode.

To upgrade an existing web project
  1. Start Eclipse and open the Project Explorer view.
  2. Note:    The Project Explorer view contains all existing web projects of the workspace.

  3. Right-click on the web project name, and click Crystal Reports > Update keycode.
  4. A <keycode> element containing the new keycode will be added to the CRConfig.xml file. For example, the updated CRConfig.xml file might look something like this:

    <?xml version=”1.0” encoding=”UTF-8?>

    <CrystalReportEngine-configuration>

        <reportlocation>../..</reportlocation>

        <timeout>0</timeout>

        <ExternalFunctionLibraryClassName>

            <classname/>

        </ExternalFunctionLibraryClassName>

        <keycode>XXXXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX-XXXX</keycode>

    </CrystalReportEngine-configuration>

Note:    This procedure must be repeated for all your web projects.
