When you preview a report for the first time, the Enter Values dialog box appears, prompting you for a value.
When you revisit the Preview tab during a session, you can choose new parameter values by refreshing the data.
The version of the prompting dialog box is different depending on how you created your parameter. As well, various data types require you to enter values differently:
Enter String values exactly as they will appear in the field. If the parameter field allows multiple values, you can enter additional parameter values using the Select button.
Enter Boolean values by choosing True or False.
Enter Number values exactly as they will appear in the field.
Enter Currency values exactly as they will appear in the field.
Enter Date values to match the format shown in the dialog box.
Enter Time values to match the format shown in the dialog box.
Enter DateTime values using the format shown in the dialog box.
Once you have chosen the values that you want to use, click the Finish button to refresh the report preview.
