Report objects displayed by themselves in
a viewer—without the rest of the report page—are referred to as Report Parts.
More precisely, however, Report Parts are objects that use hyperlinks to point
from a home report object to a destination object.
Report Parts work with the DHTML viewer
subset of the
Crystal Reports Viewers to expand the navigation possibilities
within and between reports. Report Part hyperlinks can link to other objects in
the current report or to objects in any other report. This linking lets you
create a guided path through your reports that shows only specific information
at each stop along the path.
Viewing Report Parts instead of the whole
page is a powerful feature that allows you to seamlessly integrate reports into
portal and wireless applications.
