Jazz source control and Subversion repositories

Rational® Team Concert provides several ways for teams that use both Subversion and Jazz™ source control to collaborate.

Subversion is a popular open-source version control tool, available from http://subversion.tigris.org/. Rational Team Concert enables Subversion users to take advantage of Jazz source control and work items to collaborate more effectively when working with a Rational Team Concert community.

Two styles of collaboration are supported:

You can import the contents of a Subversion repository to one or more Jazz source control components.
If you install a Subversion client for Eclipse into the Eclipse instance that supports Rational Team Concert, you can link Subversion revisions to work items.

Teams that use Jazz source control and Subversion can use either or both of these capabilities.

Importing Subversion repository contents to Jazz source control
Jazz source control includes a Subversion importer that simplifies importing files and folders from a Subversion repository and provides a variety of options for mapping Subversion repository contents and user names to Jazz components and users.
Linking work items to Subversion repositories
If you add a Subversion client for Eclipse to your Rational Team Concert installation, you can link work items to Subversion revisions.
