• Getting started in your Jazz source control workspace
  Although it is optimized for team development, Jazz source control provides all the features you need for backing up your work to a repository, comparing versions of files and folders, preserving important configurations, and restoring your work to a previous state. The topics in this section apply to work you do in a Jazz source control workspace when you're working on your own, and they also apply when you are working as part of a team.
• Joining a team
  To join a team that is using Jazz source control, you can accept a team invitation, which provides all the repository connection and project area information you need. If you are already connected to the repository and team area, you can simply create a new repository workspace from one of the team's streams or snapshots.
• Repository workspaces in a team environment
  As a team member, your repository workspaces are private development areas where you can work on your own or combine your work with contributions from your team. Your work remains private to the workspace until you decide to deliver it to a team flow target such as a shared stream. Your team's contributions can be accepted into your workspace as needed, from a variety of sources.
• Sharing changes with your team
  Jazz source control provides a variety of ways for you to share change sets with your team.
• Finding and resolving conflicts
  Whenever a component is being modified in multiple workspaces that have the same flow target, conflicts can arise in the change sets that result. Jazz source control provides tools for finding and resolving these conflicts.
• Exploring the history of components and files
  Jazz source control provides a variety of ways for you to explore the history of a component or any of the files it contains, and to compare the state of a file in your workspace with its state in other workspaces or streams.
• Understanding and modifying change flow
  For most users, the change flow established when workspaces and streams are created provides a set of flow targets that reflect the team's development process and do not need to be changed. You might occasionally need to add, remove, or edit flow targets to enable specific types of collaboration.
• Using work items and team process with Jazz source control
  Jazz source control is integrated with the Team Process and Work Items components of the Jazz technology platform. Various Jazz source control operations, especially delivering change sets, interact with one or both of these components.
