Supported server environments

Review the supported Jazz™ Team Server operating environments.

Minimum hardware requirements

  • Processor: Pentium® Xeon® (32-bit) (minimum); Dual core Xeon (32-bit) (recommended)
  • Memory: 1 or 2 GB minimum
  • Disk space: 1 GB
  • Display: 1024 x 768 resolution
  • Other hardware: 100 mbps/1000 mbps wired connectivity

Supported operating systems

The server is supported on the following operating systems:
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux® Server 5.0 Update 1
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10.0 with Service Pack 1
  • Microsoft® Windows® 2003 Server with Service Pack 2
  • Microsoft Windows 2008 Server
Note: Although the server works on Windows XP and Windows Vista, they are not supported production environments. Windows XP and Windows Vista operates well enough to allow an individual or small team to explore the product and many of the features.
Note: Only 32–bit operating systems are supported.

Java™ SE Runtime Environments (JREs)

The server requires one of the following JREs:
  • IBM® JRE 1.5 Service Release 7 (Bundled)
  • Sun JRE 1.5 Update 14

Eclipse components

The client requires the following Eclipse components:
  • Eclipse 3.3.2

Application servers

The following application servers are supported:
  • Apache Tomcat 5.5.23
  • IBM® WebSphere® Application Server 6.1.0.15
    Note: The Jazz Team Server does not utilize cluster support in WebSphere Application Server Network Development and works only in stand-alone mode.

Identity management systems

The following LDAP servers for identity management are supported:
  • IBM Tivoli® Directory Server 6.0
  • Microsoft Active Directory 2003 R2  

Relational databases

The following databases are supported:
  • Apache Derby 10.3 (Bundled)
  • DB2® Express™ Edition 9.5 (Express and Standard Editions Only; Bundled in Express and Standard)
  • DB2 for Linux, UNIX®, and Windows 9.5 fixpack 1 (Express and Standard Editions Only)
  • DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows 9.1 fixpack 1 (Express and Standard Editions Only)
  • Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition Release 2 10.2.0.1 (Express and Standard Editions Only)
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SP2 (Express and Standard Editions Only)
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (Express and Standard Editions Only)

HTTP proxy support (Standard Edition only)

The following HTTP proxies are supported:
  • Apache 2.2.9 on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 10.0
  • Apache 2.2.10 on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 10.0
  • Apache 2.2.10 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.0
Note: HTTPS (non-secure) proxies are not supported.

Connectors (Standard Edition only)

The following connectors are supported:
  • IBM Rational® ClearCase® for Multiplatform 7.1   
  • IBM Rational ClearQuest® MultiPlatform 7.1   
  • Rational ClearCase 7.0.1
  • Rational ClearQuest 7.0.1

Bridges

The following bridge is supported:
  • Subversion 1.4.6 (Standard Edition only)
