To view the differences between two files, you can compare
a resource with its repository version. The differences between the
files are highlighted in the Compare and Merge window.
You can compare resources from the Solution Explorer view,
the Pending Changes view, and the History view.
Comparing resources with repository versions
You compare repository files to find the differences between
two versions of a file and to reconcile conflicting changes made by
the team members. You can compare a repository file with its immediate
predecessor version in the repository workspace or compare a repository
file with its copy in the local workspace.
Comparing workspaces and streams
If you want to see the differences between a workspace
and a stream, you can compare them. You can also compare a workspace
with another workspace or a stream with another stream.
Comparing components with baselines, workspaces, and streams
When you compare a component with a baseline, a workspace,
or a stream, the Jazz™ Team Server
first checks whether or not the component is available in the baseline,
workspace, or stream. If the component is available, comparison happens.
Comparing baselines
When you compare two baselines, the change sets of the
components of those baselines are compared. Comparison happens if
the component is available in both the baselines.
