You can modify work items on the Planned Items page of an iteration
plan. You can change the work item details, description, status, time estimates,
and ownership.
To modify the display of work items, see Viewing work items in an iteration plan.
Right-click a work item to modify the following properties:
- Summary (click Edit Plan Item)
- Iteration (click Plan for)
- Ownership
- Category
To view and modify work item details, description, and discussions,
select a work item and click the Show Preview button 
in
the toolbar.
If a work item is modified to move it to another iteration
or another team area, it remains visible in the iteration plan shown in gray
text until you save, refresh, or reopen the plan. Hover over the alert 
to
the left of the work item to display an explanation of the work item's new
location. If you modified the work item from the Planned Items page, it is
removed when you click Save in the iteration plan toolbar.
If the work item was modified from the work item editor, it is removed when
you click Refresh 
or reopen the iteration plan.
