Creating a Crystal Reports Web Application

The Crystal Reports Web Application wizard walks you through creating a web application that contains Crystal Reports functionality.This web application will contain all files required to generate reports at runtime.

To create a new Crystal Reports web project
  1. On the File menu, click New > Project....
  2. Expand the Crystal Reports node, click Crystal Reports Web Project, and then click Next.
  3. Follow the project wizard prompts, enter the project name, and define an installed target runtime environment, such as, for example, Apache Tomcat.
  4. Note:    Your server must be configured with a path to the Java SDK. You have to configure this only once per workspace.

  5. Click Next.
  6. Make sure that the Crystal Reports Java Reporting Component facet check box is selected, and click Next.
  7. Configure the web module settings and then click Next.
  8. Configure the Crystal Reports settings:
  9. Click Finish.
  10. Click Yes to open the J2EE perspective.
  11. Use the Project Explorer view, which is displayed in the J2EE Perspective, to browse your new Crystal Reports web project.
