Using a User Function in a Crystal Reports report

You can use the User Function in reports after you have configured the processing engine to find the UFL. For more information, see Configuring the Crystal Reports processing engine to find the UFL.
You can use User Functions within both formulas and functions.

To use User Functions in formulas or functions

  1. Open the report.

    Note: If the target report was open when the processing engine was configured to find the UFL, close and re-open the report.
  2. On the Formulas page, right-click, point to new, and then click New Formula Field or New Function.
  3. Create a formula that uses your User Function.

    Tip: Use Ctrl-Space to list available functions.
