Getting fixes

A product fix might be available to resolve your problem. To determine what fixes and other updates are available, use the IBM Installation Manager's Update Packages function.

Periodically, IBM might provide updates, such as interim fixes, fix packs, and refresh packs. For best results, install the latest updates when they become available. Installation Manager will search the service repositories where fixes are located, and will list the updates and fix packs that are available for installation.

  1. To start Installation Manager, complete the following steps:
    • For Windows® operating systems, click Start > Programs > IBM Installation Manager > IBM Installation Manager.
    • For the Red Hat Enterprise Linux® 3.0 operating system, open the main menu, and then click Programming > IBM Installation Manager.
    • On SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9.0 (GNOME desktop environment), open the main menu and click Applications > Programming > IBM Installation Manager.
    • On SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9.0 (K Desktop Environment), open the main menu and click IBM Installation Manager > IBM Installation Manager.
