Searching for Checkouts, Hijacks, and View Private Files

Use the ClearCase® Search window to search ClearCase views for resources in various states (checked-out, hijacked, or view-private). You can perform common source control operations on the resulting artifacts.

To search ClearCase views for resources:
  1. Click View > ClearCase Search.
  2. Enter a location in the Search Folder field to search a specific folder in a local ClearCase view. You can type the folder name, select from a list of recently used folders, or browse for the folder location.
  3. Select or clear the check boxes in the Search for section to specify the ClearCase state of the files you want to find.
  4. Optional: You can select radio buttons in the Include additional folders section to broaden or narrow the scope of your search.
  5. Click Go.
The search returns any results in the right-hand pane of the ClearCase Search window.
Now, you can perform common ClearCase operations on files listed in the search results pane, such as Add to source, Check in, and Undo checkout.
