Joining a team

To join a team that is using Rational Team Concert™ source control, you can accept a team invitation, which provides all the repository connection and project area information you need. If you are already connected to the repository and team area, you can simply create a new repository workspace from one of the team's streams or snapshots.

About this task

There are two ways to join a team:

Accept a team invitation. For more information, see Connecting to a repository and project areas.
Create a new repository workspace from a stream or snapshot. For more information, see Repository workspaces in a team environment.

When a team lead adds you as a team member, you have access to team artifacts such as builds, streams, feeds, and work items. To participate in the team's development efforts, create a repository workspace based on a configuration (such as a stream or snapshot) that the team lead wants new members to start with.
