Configuring the Startup Query viewlet

Configure the ClearQuest Startup Query viewlet on your dashboard to display the results for the registered Rational® ClearQuest® Startup Query.

Before you begin

This topic assumes that you have already added the ClearQuest Startup Query viewlet on your dashboard by following the instructions in Adding ClearQuest viewlets.

About this task

When you add the ClearQuest Startup Query viewlet on your dashboard, the associated result-set content renders only if a startup query is registered in the ClearQuest user database.

Note: You must use a ClearQuest client to add a startup query to the user database. You cannot add or remove a startup query by using the IBM® Rational Team Concert™ Web client.

To configure the ClearQuest Startup Query viewlet:

Procedure

On the viewlet toolbar, click the Edit Contents icon .
On the Preferences tab:
1. Optional: Next to the Presentation fields field, click Edit. In the Select Fields window, select at most two viewlet display fields and click OK.
2. Optional: Modify the Results per page value.
3. If you are finished editing the viewlet, click Save. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.
Optional: On the Appearance tab, modify the viewlet title, trim, and background color, and click Save.
