The preview pane lets you quickly view and edit the work
items from a plan. You can configure the preview pane for a work item
type to view the sections that you want in the preview pane.

in the plan editor toolbar.To configure the preview pane:
Procedure
- In the Team Artifacts view, right-click the project area and click Open.
- Click the Process Configuration tab.
- In the Project Configuration section, expand the Configuration Data and Work Items sections and click Editor Presentation Bindings.
- In the Choose the Work Item Type to edit dropdown, select a work item type.
- In Plan Editor Preview, select a presentation tab.
- Click Save.
