Use the IBM® System
Modification Program/Extended (SMP/E) to install software and software
changes on your z/OS® systems.
The instructions that are related to this topic assume
that you have already installed the
Rational® Team Concert SMP/E.
The SMP/E instructions are in the Program Directory that is included
with the product download package, or on the web at
http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?&uid=swg27019003.
Note: The
Program Directory lists specific path names. If you extract your files
to a different location, you must update the path names to match your
location.
The SMP/E package installs two MVS data sets, hlq.SBLZSAMP and hlq.SBLZAUTH,
where hlq is the high-level qualifier that you
selected during the SMP/E installation. As noted in the Program Directory, hlq.SBLZAUTH must
be APF-authorized. Many of the additional configuration steps involve
editing and submitting JCL that is found in the hlq.SBLZSAMP data
set.
The SMP/E package also installs one z/OS UNIX® System
Services file directory
/@pathPrefix@/usr/lpp/jazz/v2.0.
Note: @pathPrefix@ is
the path prefix that you specified during the SMP/E installation.
The following
Rational Team Concert components
are also installed with the SMP/E installation:
- Jazz™ Team Server for z/OS
- Rational Build Agent
- Build System Toolkit
- Job Monitor
- Remote System Explorer (RSE) configuration for Rational Developer for System z®
The following tasks are required to complete the installation:
- Finish the customization on z/OS.
- Configure the Jazz Team Server on z/OS.
- Install the Rational Team Concert client
on your computer.
