-resumeIndexer

Use this command to resume an indexing service.

Purpose

The resumeIndexer command restarts the repository indexing service after running a -suspendIndexer command.

To verify the suspend and resume commands, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that the server and the indexer are running.
  2. run repotools -suspendIndexer.
  3. Check the console. It should indicate that the indexer was successfully suspended.
  4. Create some resources, for example, by using the Java search sample.
  5. Ensure that these resources are not indexed by running a query.
  6. Run repotools -resumeIndexer.
  7. Check the console. It should indicate the indexer was successfully resumed.
  8. Ensure that the resources created above are indexed by running a query.
