Installing the Jazz Team Server on z/OS

This information provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Jazz™ Team Server on z/OS®.

These instructions are intended for system administrators who are responsible for installing and maintaining the Jazz Team Server and other Rational® Team Concert components on z/OS. To understand the instructions, you should be familiar with Windows® and z/OS operating systems.

Installing Rational Team Concert components on z/OS is completed using SMP/E. There are four FMIDs. You can choose to install only the FMIDs that you require based on your server configuration. Additional information is included with the PTFs. Use the instructions in the Rational Team Concert Program Directory for z/OS.Rational Team Concert Program Directory for z/OS.

Follow the customization instructions for the components that you install. The components are:

FMID HAHA200

Jazz Team Server. Required to run the Jazz Team Server on z/OS. We recommend you install this FMID.

FMID HAHB200

Build System Toolkit for z/OS. Required for the System z Jazz Gateway, Jazz Build Engine, Ant with Enterprise Extensions build, mass import, and the SCM command line.

Job Monitor. Required for monitoring JCL-based builds.
