You can use the Rational Product Updater to update your Functional Tester software or documentation. Updates can includes things like additional software features, defect fixes, new documentation, translated documentation files, etc.
Updates can be posted to the update site any time. It's a good idea to run the Product Updater periodically to check for new updates.
For Functional Tester, Java Scripting; Functional Tester, VB.Net Scripting; and Manual Test you access the Product Updater from the Windows Start menu.
Installing Updates
Open the Updater by clicking Start > Programs > IBM Rational > Rational Product Updater.
The Updater opens and displays a list of the Rational products you have installed in the Installed Products tab.
In the Installed Products tab, select IBM Rational Functional Tester 6.1.0.
Click on the Updates tab.
Functional Tester will be listed, with all the available updates listed below the product name.
Select an update item in the Product list to see a description of that update in the Detailed Information box.
Checked updates will be installed. All updates should be checked by default. If you do not want to install an update, clear the checkbox next to that update. Note that updates may depend on each other, so checking or unchecking may cause dependant items to be checked or unchecked.
Click the Install Updates button.
The selected items will be installed.
