1.0 Prerequisites

You must install IBM Rational Application Developer 6.0.0.1 before installing Interim Fix 003.

2.0 Fixes contained in this release

This interim fix contains fixes for problems in the following components. APAR numbers, if applicable, are in brackets:

• EGL
• J2EE tools
• Java Server Faces tools
• Portal and portlet tools
• Server tools
• Web tools
• Web services
• XML tools

EGL

• There is a problem with comparison with upshift function to a variable.
• There is a Java™ runtime error with an unresolved compilation problem with the compareTo method.
• An if statement with "or" clause gives an Unhandled exception type BigNumberException.
• The SQL statement SELECT INTO TEMP TABLE fails when connecting to an Informix server.
• There is a merge problem with floating areas for formGroup parts.
• There is a merge problem where records are lost after the merge.
• [IC45754] There are EGL validation errors when migrating to Rational Application Developer 6.0.
• Exceptions occur when generating case statements.
• The preprocessor does not allow the converseVar.printerAssociation to be assigned a new value for files defined as transient , which is needed for EGL COBOLGen.
• Using function argument keywords results in a null pointer exception.

J2EE tools

• Tag information that is registered dynamically does not take place until a build is done against some annotations. An extension point has been added to allow for the initialization of dynamic tags which makes it possible to get content assist for dynamic tags before a build.
• Dynamic annotation support removes doclet objects on subsequent builds if the tag data does not have any attributes.
• InputStream is obtained from the BaseClassifier file but it is never closed, which prevents the file from being deleted from the workspace.
• BaseClassifier class is causing performance problems.
• [PK05376] Cannot export EAR files containing modules in binary format.
• Cannot turn off the extended operation that builds the .dnx file
• Cannot detect either a full URI or an extension for auto load of the model.
• Cannot determine if the project natures are the trigger points when enabling capabilities.
• There is a stack overflow error when starting the session bean wizard.
• There is a problem with resource synchronization with the edit models.
   

Java Server Faces tools

• [JR21412] The behavior of switching IMEmode between "active" and "inactive" is incorrect if (imemode="active" or "inactive") and autotab="true" is set for an input field.
• [JR21474] Cannot leave number field blank if required=true and input assist is on.
• [JR21703] When entering the number on the thousandth position of a BigDecimal in a managed bean, a 0 is added and set in the managed bean.
• [JR21295] A read-only attribute set on an inputText field when input assist does not work.
• The JSF/JWL date picker helper may not let you click on days in the last week of the month.
• [PK05628] There is a problem with synchronizing page data models from a page code file.
• [JR21467] Cannot use a minus character for the first character used on an input field. The minus character causes unexpected behavior.
• [JR21468] When autotabbing to the next field that contains data, the contents of the field are not selected.
• [PK04821] Date controls are not scrolling when placed inside a DIV tag.
• [JR21314] Deleting characters inside a numeric field with input assist causes unexpected results.
• Cannot use French as a primary language with JWL, as this causes JavaScript errors.
• [JR21334] When selecting the contents of a numeric field with input assist, and then deleting or inputting a value, data cannot be entered in the field.
• [JR21389] When an inputField with input assist has a pattern of 0.00, the first character inputted is ignored when you first tab into the field.

Portal and portlet tools

• When installing Rational Application Developer 6.0.0.1, stderr occurs when applying updates from proxy com.ibm.etools.portal.stub.updater.6001.
• There is a problem when running a portal on the portal test environment where publishing appears to succeed, but the portal says there is no content, and any attempts to run the portal again fail with a publishing error.

Server tools

• There is a problem with publishing rules on Java projects where applications cannot be restarted when when files are changed in utility projects.

Web tools

• [PK02340] Auto indent is not working in source editors such as Page Designer.

Web services

• Overriding of PrivateUDDI is not enabled.

XML tools

• Guided editing for substitution groups in the XML editor is broken for certain XML schema composition patterns.
• Input/output message ordering for operation is not working.
• XML Editor does not enforce some facets.
• First row of XML table tree viewer is painted incorrectly.
