When a Visual Studio project is linked to a Rational® Rhapsody® model,
any changes made to one are reflected in the other.
When a Visual Studio project is linked to a Rational Rhapsody model,
the following behavior results when you work with both applications
open:
- When you make code changes to your source files in Visual Studio,
these changes are brought into the Rational Rhapsody model
as soon as the focus is transferred to Rational Rhapsody.
- When you make changes to your model in Rational Rhapsody,
these changes are automatically reflected in your code files when
the focus is transferred to Visual Studio.
- If you add a new file to your project directory in Visual Studio,
then the next time you switch to Rational Rhapsodyyou
will be asked whether the file should be added to the model. If you
answer No to this question, the file will be marked as such and will
never be roundtripped into your model.
This behavior is due to the Rational Rhapsody DMCA
(Dynamic model-code associativity)
feature.
