If the
graphical differences between two units are not
important to the comparison, you can suppress the graphical differences
from the comparison and the differences report.
About this task
With
the compared units displayed in IBM® Rational® Rhapsody® DiffMerge,
to suppress the graphical differences, choose to
make a check mark show to the left of Ignore Graphical
Differences.
Note: You use Ignore
Graphical Differences to toggle this feature on and off,
but only when Rational Rhapsody DiffMerge is
in comparison mode. As soon as you start merging, this menu option
is disabled. Therefore, you must determine whether to ignore graphical
differences before starting a merge operation.
To merge two classes with different statecharts, use
the browser (see Starting a merge operation)
or the graphical Rational Rhapsody DiffMerge function
(see Using Copy and Paste to merge diagrams graphically for statecharts, activity diagrams, and flow charts).
