If you are developing your application for Linux or one
of the MSVC9 environments, you can have Rational® Rhapsody® build
the application to run on a 64-bit system.
Procedure
- For the MSVC9 environments, a number of properties and
batch files refer to the $CPU variable which represents
the value of the CPU property for the environment, for example, CPP_CG::MSVC9::CPU.
Change the value of the CPU property to x64. (This is not necessary
for Linux targets.)
- Rebuild the framework by selecting Code > Build Framework
from the main menu. For MSVC9 environments, the Build Framework
option takes into account the value of the CPU property. For Linux,
if you are running IBM® Rational Rhapsody on
a 64-bit system, the Build Framework option builds the libraries for 64-bit
systems.
