You can add a new column to your table layout.
About this task
Note:
- A table row represents one model element.
- A table column represents a particular attribute of that model
element.
Procedure
- Open
the Features window for a table layout, and on the Columns tab,
click the New button
.
- For the column, select a Type, Property,
and enter a Column name (if necessary) from
the corresponding menus for your query purpose:
- The General Attribute type might use one
of the following properties to define it:
- Name displays the name of an element.
- Owner displays the owner of an element.
- Description displays the description for
an element (if there the description has been entered).
- Element type displays the element type
of an element.
- For an extended table layout only: Stereotypes displays
the list of applied stereotypes for the element on the specified line
(of the table).
- The Relation Attribute (From) type might
use one of the following properties to define where a relation is
connected from.
- From element displays from which element
the relation is connected.
- Via port displays from which port a relation
is connected.
- Port provided interface displays the name
of the port provided interface.
- Port required interface displays the name
of the port required interface.
- Provided interface operations displays
the names of the provided interface operations.
- Required interface operations displays
the names of the required interface operations.
- For an extended table layout only: The From element
(All) has the same functionality as the From Element column
type with the extension of adding lines to the table with only the
From Element column populated with elements based on the metaclasses
selected in the From Element Types tab and
that are in the defined scope (which is defined in the corresponding
extended table view).
- For an extended table layout only based on a link relation: The From
port (All) has the same functionality as the From Port
column type with the extension of adding lines to the table with only
the From Port column populated with elements based on the metaclasses
selected in the From Element Types tab and
that are in the defined scope (which is defined in the extended table
view).
- The Relation Attribute (To) type might
use one of the following properties to define where a relation is
connected to.
- To element displays to which element the
relation is related.
- Via port displays to which port a relation
is connected.
- Port provided interface displays the name
of the port provided interface.
- Port required interface displays the name
of the port required interface.
- Provided interface operations displays
the names of the provided interface operations.
- Required interface operations displays
the names of the required interface operations.
- The Requirement Attribute type might have
either an ID or Specification property.
- The Flow Attribute type might have only Item
Flows as its property.
- The Tag type has the <<Select>> property.
Click it to open the Select Tag window in which
you can identify the information for the tag. Click OK.
- For an extended table layout only: With the Tag (Edit) type,
you have the ability of inline editing of tags of the type "string"
inside the table or to modify their value using the Features window
for all types. When a cell represents a tag that does not exist for
an element on that line, double-click the cell to create the tag and
open its Features window so that you can set the initial value. This
type also has the <<Select>> property.
Click it to open the Select Tag window in which
you can identify the information for the tag. Click OK.
- Click the New button
to add each column for
your table. Use the Move Item Up and Move Item Down buttons
to arrange the order of
the columns in your table layout.
- Optional: To remove a column
from the layout, select it on the Columns tab
and click the Delete button
.
- When you have completed your design layout,
click OK.
