Use the Features window for an annotation type
to change its features. Annotations specify additional information
about model elements.
You can use different types of annotations
with semantics (like a constraint or requirement) or annotations that
are simply informative, like a documentation note or comment.
About this task
The
Features window enables you to change the features of an annotation,
including its name type. For example, a constraint and requirement
annotation types contain the following fields:
- Name specifies the name
of the constraint. To enter a detailed description of the constraint,
click the Description tab.
- L specifies the label for
the element, if any. For information about creating labels, see Assign descriptive labels to elements.
- Stereotype specifies the
stereotype of the constraint, if any. They are enclosed in guillemets,
for example «s1» and enable you to tag classes for
documentation purposes. For information about creating stereotypes,
see Defining stereotypes.
- To select from a list of current stereotypes in
the project, click the Select Stereotype button
button. Note that the COM stereotypes are constructive; that
is, they affect code generation.
- To sort the order of the stereotypes, click the
Change Stereotype Order button
button.
- Type specifies the annotation
type. For example, you could use this field to easily change a constraint
to a requirement or comment.
- Defined in (read-only field)
specifies the owning class of the annotation.
- Specification specifies
the note text or constraint expression. Note that this field is not
applicable for a Comment annotation type
- Anchored Elements lists
all the elements that are anchored to this annotation.
