The Define Views page provides a GUI for filtering views
into the IBM® Rational® Rhapsody® model.
These views can simplify monitoring and controlling maintenance and
help you focus on key elements of your models.
The Define Views page, as shown in the following
figure, enables you to create and name a view of selected elements.
The page includes a list of check boxes beside all the available elements
that can be included in the view, and their corresponding element
types. Click each element or aggregate to drill down to a graphical
representation of the element value, or its aggregate collection of
name-value pairs.
To design a view:
- Check the boxes beside each element you want to
include in your view. To include all elements, click Select
All.
- Type the name of your view in the Name of view box.
The Reset button clears the name you entered and all of your
selections.
- Click Submit.
The new view name displays at the bottom of the
element table, next to its check box, with "view" as its type.
Note: All views created from the Define Views page
store in memory and will not be saved when you close
Rational Rhapsody.
To learn how you can back up and restore the views you have defined,
