Building target components

Once the code has been generated correctly, you can build the target component and delete old objects.

About this task

To build the target, use one of the following methods:

As IBM® Rational® Rhapsody® compiles the code, compiler messages are displayed in the Output window. When compilation is completed, the message Build Done is displayed.

Note: If you want to build applications for 64-bit targets, you must first rebuild the Rational Rhapsody framework libraries. If you are running Rational Rhapsody on a 64-bit system, then if you rebuild the libraries using Code > Build Framework, the Rational Rhapsody libraries will be rebuilt such that you will be able to build applications for 64-bit targets. However, if you are running the product on a 32-bit system, you will have to rebuild the framework libraries manually.
