About this task

Procedure

  1. Start Rational Rhapsody and open the project. For example:

    <Rational Rhapsody_install>\Samples\CppSamples\Dishwasher.rpy
  2. Select File > Project Properties.
  3. Set the CPP_CG::INTEGRITY::RemoteHost property to the IP address of the machine on which Rational Rhapsody is running. (To get the IP address under the Windows environment, enter the following command at the command prompt:

    ipconfig
  4. Set the active configuration for the sample. For example, for the Dishwasher sample, set EXE::Host as the active configuration.
  5. Open the Features window for the active configuration and set the following values:
    1. Set the Instrumentation Mode field to Animation.
    2. Set the Environment field to INTEGRITY.
  6. Select the Properties tab, then click the All filter.
  7. Set the CPP_CG::INTEGRITY::BLDTarget property to set the target BSP. By default, this value is set to mbx800. If wanted, set this property to a different value.

You can set additional options and defines by changing the BLDAdditionalOptions and BLDAdditionalDefines properties.

  8. Click OK to apply your changes and dismiss the window.
  9. Select Code to generate the code and the build file for the active configuration.
  10. Select Code to compile and link the application source code. This selection generates the following INTEGRITY executable files:
    1. <ActiveComponent>.mod - This file is a dynamically download type of image. This image can be downloaded on a running kernel on the target board using the TFTP server utility.
    2. <ActiveComponent> - This image is an Integrity Application type. This image must be integrated with the kernel to form a composite image that can be downloaded on the target using the ocdserv utility.

In these names, ActiveComponent is the name of the component currently selected as the active component within Rational Rhapsody.
