Generating Rational Rhapsody reports

To generate reports from the model, use the IBM® Rational® Rhapsody® ReporterPLUS documentation tool to create Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, HTML, RTF, and text documents. The Rational Rhapsody ReporterPLUS pre‑defined templates extract text and diagrams from a model, arrange the text and diagrams in a document, and format the document.

Procedure

  1. Choose Tools > ReporterPLUS > Report on all model elements or Report on selected package.
  2. On the ReporterPLUS Wizard: Select Task window, select the output format you want and click Next.
  3. Use the Browse button on the ReporterPLUS Wizard: Select Template window to select a template from the template directory (for example, <Rational Rhapsody installation path>\reporterplus\Templates) and click Next.
  4. On the Confirmation window, review the report criteria, and then click Finish to produce the report.
  5. On the Generate Document window:
    • Enter a document name.
    • Browse to where you want to locate the files that will be produced.
    • Click the Generate button to generate your document.
  6. Wait while your document is generated. Rational Rhapsody ReporterPLUS spends some time loading the template and the model. Then it analyzes the model and the model element relationships.
  7. When available, click Yes to open your report.
