Add Doc Template schema in Word
To enable the usage of Doc Templates, you must add the Doc Template XML schema in Microsoft WordŽ:
- Open Microsoft WordŽ
- Open the Schema Library dialog:

- Click the Microsoft Office Button
and then click Word Options
- Click Popular, and then under Top options for working with Word, select the Show Developer tab in the Ribbon check box
- On the Developer tab, in the XML group, click Schema.

- Click Tools > Templates and Add-Ins
- Click XML Schema tab
- Click Schema Library...
|
- Add the doc template schema:
- Click Add Schema...
- Select the file doctemplate.xsd, in the directory <MDWorkbench Dir>\eclipse\plugins\com.sodius.mdw.core_<version>
- Type doctemplate in the Alias field
- Click OK
- Click OK to validate the schema
- Click OK to close the Template and Add-Ins dialog.
In addition, you should configure Microsoft WordŽ to display XML tags:
- Show the XML Structure view:

- On the Developer tab, in the XML group, click Structure.

- Click View > Task Pane
- Select XML Structure in the Task Pane title bar

- Click Show XML tags in the document

You may then close Microsoft WordŽ. You don't need to save the empty Word document.
