The steps in this topic describe how to create a new Rational® Rhapsody® Android
project or change an existing project to an Android project.
Before you begin
You must have the Android SDK starter package and the Android
plug-in for Eclipse (Android Development Tools - ADT) installed on
your computer.
About this task
Note: The steps described here assume that you are using
the IBM® Rational Rhapsody platform
integration plug-ins that allow you to model from within Eclipse.
You can perform all of the same actions from within the stand-alone
version of Rational Rhapsody -
just take into account that the GUI is slightly different.
Procedure
- In Eclipse, create a new Rational RhapsodyJava
project, or open an existing project.
- Select the Rational Rhapsody configuration
that you would like to use for the Android project, and from the pop-up
menu, select Create IDE Project.
- When the Rhapsody Configuration Wizard windows
is displayed, choose New Project.
- In the New Project dialog, select Android Project. The New Android Project window is
displayed.
- Complete all the required fields and click Next. The package explorer area now displays both the Rational Rhapsody project
and the Android Eclipse project. If you look at the model browser,
you will see that the Rational Rhapsody project
now contains the following:
