Displaying stereotypes of model elements

IBM® Rational® Rhapsody® provides the option of displaying the stereotypes applied to a model element, alongside the name of the element in the browser.

About this task

To display the stereotypes for the elements in the browser, use one of these methods:

Note: When All is selected, the property is assigned the value Prefix. When None is selected, the property is assigned the value No. If you want the stereotype name displayed after the element name, this can only be done by changing the property directly to Suffix.

If you select the option First, then for elements with more than one stereotype, only the first stereotype is displayed in the browser.

The default setting for the Browser::Settings::ShowStereotypes property is Prefix. For projects created with the product in version 6.0 or earlier, this property is overridden and set to No.

This setting does not apply to stereotypes that are defined as "new terms." When a stereotype is defined as a "new term," it is given its own category in the browser, and any elements to which this stereotype is applied are displayed under the new category.
