Installing the Eclipse plug-in for Rational Rhapsody

After you have installed Eclipse and IBM® Rational® Rhapsody®, you must install the Eclipse plug-in for the product.
Note: There are two implementations of the Eclipse plug-in. For descriptions of the Platform Integration and the Workflow Integration, see step 6 in Linking Rational Rhapsody to Eclipse.

Before you begin

Be sure that you have done the following tasks before you try to install the Eclipse plug-in for Rational Rhapsody.
  1. Installed Eclipse and C/C++ Development Tools (CDT). The CDT software is required if you are developing applications in C or C++. See Installing Eclipse and CDT for Windows.
  2. Added the necessary compilers for the development language or languages you are using. For example, see Integrating Rational Rhapsody with the Cygwin compiler.
  3. Installed Rational Rhapsody Developer for C or Rational Rhapsody Developer for C++. See Installing Rational Rhapsody on a Windows system.
