Work Items view

When you run a query, the Work Items view displays the results in a table. You can sort the results according to column heading by clicking a column heading. Click the column heading again to change the sort order (ascending or descending).

Within the Work Items view you can filter the query results by entering text. As you begin typing, your text appears in the Filter Box in the lower left part of the view. The Work Items view changes the results table to show only those work items whose Summary or Description fields contain values that match the text.

To retrieve a specific work item, enter the work item ID in the entry field in the status line on the bottom of the workbench window. The work item opens in the work item editor. You can also enter text in the same entry field. The matching work items appear in the results table.

You can perform an operation on multiple work items by selecting those work items in the results table, right-clicking, and selecting the operation. The operations available from the context menu vary depending on which column you are in when you right-click the selection. For example, you might change the priority of multiple work items by selecting those items and then right-clicking in the Priority column.
