Submitting records

Use the ClearQuest® Records view in the IBM® Rational Team Concert™ Web client to submit ClearQuest records.
About this task

To submit a record:

  1. Click ClearQuest Records on the Web client toolbar to open the ClearQuest Records view.
  2. If you have not yet established a ClearQuest session, the Connect to ClearQuest window opens. Enter your user ID and password, select the ClearQuest repository in which to log in, and click Connect.

    You are prompted to log in only once during the Web client session.

  3. In the left panel of the ClearQuest Records view, accept the default record type by clicking the Create button.

    Alternatively, click the arrow in the lower right corner of the Create button and select a record type from the menu.

    A new record template opens.

  4. Fill in the required fields.
  5. Associate the record with existing work items that comprise part or all of this request, or create and associate new work items to resolve this request.
