When you create a project in Microsoft® Visual Studio, a number of files
or folders are created that you might not want to share in Rational Team Concert™ source
control.
You can restrict these resources being checked-in to Rational Team Concert source
control by
ignoring them.

The list of resources to be ignored by
Rational Team Concert source
control is
specified in the .jazzignore file. This file is typically placed in
the project's root folder. The .jazzignore file can be in any subfolder.
Rational Team Concert source
control has
predefined patterns to be ignored. You can also add more patterns
to the list. You can add resources to the ignore list from the
Solution
Explorer tool window.
To add resources to the ignore
list:
Procedure
- Select the resource from the Solution Explorer tool
window.
- Either right-click the resource and click Add
to Ignore List or click .
- In the Add to Ignore List window,
select whether you want to ignore the resource by its name, file extension,
or pattern. You can also select whether you want to ignore the resource
in its current local directory or in the entire solution directory.
- Click OK.
