Installing Rational Team Concert for System z on z/OS

This information provides step-by-step instructions for configuring the Jazz™ Team Server for System z® on z/OS®.

These instructions are intended for system administrators who are responsible for installing and maintaining the Jazz Team Server for System z on z/OS. To understand the instructions, you should be familiar with Windows® and z/OS operating systems.

The installation of Rational Team Concert™ for System z on z/OS is performed using SMP/E. There are four FMIDs. You can choose to install only the FMIDs that you require based on your server configuration.The SMP/E installation package contains Rational Team Concert for System z version 2.0.0.1. PTFs are required to upgrade the z/OS components to version 2.0.0.2. The PTFs are available at the Rational Team Concert for System z downloads page on Jazz.net. You must apply the PTFs to the base Rational Team Concert for System z 2.0.0.1 installation using SMP/E. Additional information is included with the PTFs. Use the instructions in the Program Directory to install Rational Team Concert for System z 2.0.0.1 before applying the PTFs. Install the PTFs before completing additional customization steps.

Follow the customization instructions for the components that you install. The components are:
FMID HAHA200
Jazz Team Server for System z. Required to run the Jazz Team Server for System z on z/OS. We recommend you install this FMID.
FMID HAHB200
Build System Toolkit for System z. Required for the System z Jazz Gateway, Jazz Build Engine, Ant with extensions for z/OS build, mass import, and the SCM command line.
