Ranking work items

You can rank work items to prioritize them according to your requirement. For example, if the priority is not set for a few work items and the ranking attribute is set to Priority, after you set the priority of work items, they will be in order of High, Medium, and Low. For work items with same priority, you can set the order by dragging and dropping them. When you drag and drop work items, the ranking attribute value in the Planned Items page is simultaneously updated. You can set the ranking attribute in the Plan Attributes editor.
About this task
To set the ranking attribute, open the project area editor, click Process Configuration, and navigate to Project Configuration > Configuration Data > Planning > Plan Attributes; and then set a Ranking Attribute. If you want to add custom attributes in Ranking Attribute, click Add in the Attribute Mapping section.

In the Planned Items page, you can sort work items based on rank.

Note: If the work item is not ranked, you can see an information icon beside the work item in the Planned Items page. You can drag and drop work items to rank them.
