Creating and applying a Rational Team Concert source control patch

A Rational Team Concert™ source control patch is a file that captures the differences between a project in a local workspace and its counterpart in the repository.
About this task
A patch is similar to a change set, but can be shared with users of other SCM systems and also with Rational Team Concert source control users in other repositories. A patch can capture the differences between a project in a local workspace and its counterpart in the repository, or it can capture the combined effect of a number of change sets.
Note: Only ASCII text files can be included in a patch. For information about changing the properties of a file that is incorrectly classified as binary, see Specifying file properties and line delimiter types.
