Team process preconditions for Rational Team Concert source control operations

Your team process can specify various conditions that must be met before certain Rational Team Concert™ source control operations are allowed to complete. The Team Adviser view provides more information about these preconditions and how to meet them.
About this task
Rational Team Concert source control contributes several com.ibm.team.process.deliver. preconditions that you can use when customizing your team's process. Available client-side preconditions include:
Precondition name (com.ibm.team.process.deliver.) Precondition action
prohibitUnusedImports deliver operations fail on Java™ files that have unused imports
prohibitCompilationErrors deliver operations fail on Java files that have compilation errors
requireWorkItem deliver operations fail on change sets that do not include a comment, an associated work item, or both
Available server-side preconditions include:
Precondition name Precondition action
Require Work Item Approval deliver operations fail on change sets that do not include an approved work item
Require Work Item and Comments deliver operations fail on change sets that do not include a work item with comments
Require Content deliver operations fail on change sets with files that do not contain specific textual content

When a team process precondition prevents you from delivering a change set, the Team Adviser view opens automatically and presents an explanation of why the failure occurred, how you can fix the problem, and whether you can override the process precondition.

For more information about customizing a team process to add, remove, or modify the behavior of these and other preconditions, see Customizing the process in projects, teams, and templates.
