There can be multiple change sets in a project. You can
search for particular change sets in the Rational Team Concert™ source
control.
Before you begin
You must already have change sets in the repository that you
want to search.
About this task
To search for change sets:
Procedure
- In Microsoft® Visual
Studio, click .
- In Repository, select
a repository. If you are not connected to the repository,
click Logon to get connected.
- Optional: To search change sets inside a component,
in the Component drop-down list, click Browse to
select a component.
- Optional: To search change sets in a workspace or
a stream, in Location, click Workspace/Stream.
- Optional: To search suspended change sets in Suspended
by, click Current user if you suspended
the change sets, else click Other user to select
a user.
- Optional: To limit the number of
search result, in Max type a numeric value.
- Optional: To search based on the creator of the
change set, in Creator, click Current
user, or click Other user to select
a user.
- Optional: To limit the search result within a time
period, select dates in Created after and Created
before.
- Optional: To search change sets for a particular
file, in Modifies, click Browse and
select a file. You can browse a file only after selecting the location
of the change sets.
- Optional: In Name begins with,
type a text string that identifies the name of the change set.
- Optional: To search for a particular type of change
set, select Search by type checkbox and select
a change set type.
- Click Search to start the search.
What to do next
Right-click the search results to perform the following
operations on the change sets:
- Open in Change Explorer: Opens the change set in the Change
Explorer tool window.
- Reverse: Reverses the changes made in the selected change
set.
- Associate Work Item: Associates a work item with the change
set.
- Remove Work Item: Removes a work item from the change set.
