Renaming a project in the repository

To rename a project in the repository, rename it in your repository workspace. This creates a change set that renames the project in flow targets that accept it.
About this task

Rational Team Concert™ source control includes a special operation to rename an Eclipse project in your repository workspace. The rename operation is treated like any other folder name change operation and becomes part of a change set. The project will be renamed in other workspaces or streams where that change set has been applied.

To rename a project in the repository:

  1. In the Eclipse Navigator view (or any Eclipse view that supports Team operations), navigate to the project that you want to rename.
  2. Right-click the project and click Team > Rename in Repository.
Results

The project is renamed in the local and repository workspaces. When you deliver the resulting change set, the project is renamed in the workspace flow target.
