Configuration checklist

As you configure your environment to use the ClearQuest® record and Jazz™ work item bridge, refer to this checklist to make sure that you complete all necessary tasks.
  1. Review Prerequisites and make sure that you are in compliance.
  2. An administrator must use the administrative Web interface to enable the ClearQuest bridge and specify the ClearQuest Web server information for your site:
    1. As a member of the JazzAdmins group, log in to the Admin Web UI.
    2. In the Admin Web UI, click the Server tab.
    3. In the Configuration pane, click Advanced Properties.
    4. In the ClearQuest Bridge properties section, click Edit.
    5. Optionally, specify the default ClearQuest schema repository and ClearQuest user database. The options you specify here are available to users when they log in to ClearQuest. If you do not specify a schema repository or user database, users must select them when they log in. If you only provide a schema repository, users must select an associated user database.
Important: The schema repository and user database names are case-sensitive and must match the names you entered in the ClearQuest Maintenance tool.
    6. Specify your ClearQuest Web server information, including the name, port number, and SSL setting.
    7. Set the Enable ClearQuest Bridge Webui property to "true". This setting must be enabled for the ClearQuest bridge to function properly.
    8. Enable or disable the ClearQuest full-text search functionality by setting the Is Full Text search enabled? property. Note that you must also enable full-text search on your ClearQuest schema to use it with the ClearQuest bridge.
  3. Optional: If DNS binding is not set up on your Jazz Team Server, you must perform an additional configuration step:
    1. As a member of the JazzAdmins group, log in to the Admin Web UI.
    2. In the Admin Web UI, click the Server tab.
    3. In the Configuration pane, click Advanced Properties.
    4. In the Core Repository Component section, locate the com.ibm.team.repository.servlet.internal.ServletConfigurationService property and click Edit.
    5. Set the Host Name property to the name of your Jazz Team Server host machine.

After you finish configuring the ClearQuest bridge, see Working with ClearQuest records in the Web client and Agile planning of ClearQuest records for information about working with ClearQuest records in an agile development environment.
