The New ClearCase Synchronized Stream wizard
creates a Rational® ClearCase® dynamic
view that defines the configuration of a synchronized stream. If you
need to, you can create a new Rational ClearCase dynamic
view for an existing synchronized stream.
About this task
To create a new Rational ClearCase dynamic
view:
Procedure
- Log on to the synchronization host
as a Rational ClearCase user
that has permission to lock the Rational ClearCase stream
or branch type that is to be synchronized. The wizard creates
a Rational ClearCase dynamic
view owned by the user ID that you use for this log-on. Use the Rational ClearCase Administration
Console to display available VOBs. Verify that, when logged on as
this user, VOBs with which you want to synchronize are mounted and
accessible. Mount VOBs if necessary.
- In the ClearCase Synchronized Streams view,
right-click the stream whose view you want to change and click Open to
open the Synchronized Stream editor.
- In the ClearCase tab, the Synchronization view field displays
the view tag of this view.
- Click the New button to the right
of this view tag.
- Optional: Enter a new view storage location. You can re-use the existing one if you want.
Results
When you click OK, the wizard creates
a new Rational ClearCase dynamic
view.
