Computing progress of release plans

You must check the progress of a release plan to ensure its on-time completion. You can compute the progress of a release plan by selecting any of the work item attributes or enumerations that can be transformed to a number.
Before you begin
Note: If you follow the Scrum process template, a release plan is called a Product Backlog plan.
You must have created a release plan that consists of top-level work item types.
About this task
To compute the progress of a release plan:
  1. In the Team Artifacts view, right-click the project area and click Open.
  2. Click the Process Configuration tab.
  3. In the Project Configuration section, expand the Configuration Data and Planning nodes.
  4. Click Work Item Complexity Attribute and select an attribute that you want the release plan to use to compute its progress.
  5. Click Save.
