Abandoning a build

The Jazz™ repository normally tracks the progress of a running build to its completion. However, occasionally the repository stops tracking a build. For example, a power outage or build machine failure ends the build processes or leaves them in a corrupted state. If this occurs, the build state remains in progress and the build does not complete.
About this task

When you abandon a build, its state changes from in progress to abandoned. Abandoning a build does not cancel any running build processes, so you must manually stop any associated build processes on the build machine. Only a build administrator should have permissions to abandon a build because it requires process maintenance on the build machine.

To abandon a build:

  1. In the Builds view, select a build.
  2. Right-click the selection; then click Abandon Build.
