In addition to the scheduled builds that run automatically,
there are cases when you need out of schedule builds. For this purpose,
you can request a build at anytime.
Before you begin
Build names in the
Build Definitions folder
show up only after you define them in
Rational Team Concert™ for Eclipse IDE.
Requests for the build are granted only for build definitions that
have at least one active build engine to support them.
About this task
To request a build:
Procedure
- In the Team Artifacts window, right-click
the project area, and navigate to the Build Definitions folder.
- Right-click a build name, and click Request
Build.
- Optional: To request a personal build that does
not impact the build definition status and that runs on a repository
workspace that you specify, click Build Options,
select Personal Build; and then select a repository
workspace.
Note: Personal builds do not accept incoming
changes, even if the option to accept incoming changes is enabled
in the build definition.
- Optional: To change build properties, click Build
Properties and use the Add, Remove,
and Edit buttons to update the build property
names and values.
Note: You cannot
change required build properties. You specify required build properties
when you define a build.
