Searching for a change set in another workspace or stream

A change set can be included in any workspace, stream, or snapshot in the repository. Use the Locate Change Set wizard to search the repository for instances of a specific change set.
About this task

The change sets listed in the history of a component or file in a specific workspace or stream are also present in other workspace and streams. To find out whether a change set is present in a specific component or stream, use the Locate Change Set wizard. For information about a more generalized change set search capability, see Searching for repository objects.

The Locate Change Set wizard is accessible from the context menu associated with a change set in a History or Change Explorer view.

  1. Navigate to a change set in the History or Change Explorer view. For more information, see Viewing or editing the change history of a component or Using the Change Explorer to examine the changes in a change set.
  2. Right-click the change set and click Locate Change set.
  3. In the Locate Change Set wizard, choose a baseline, workspace, stream, or other flow target to search and click Next.
Results

Depending on the choice you made in Step 3, the Locate Change Set wizard might prompt for additional information. When you have supplied all the information needed to locate the change set, the wizard searches for it in the specified locations and displays a message telling you whether the change set was found.
