change-target component

Change the flow target of an individual component.

Purpose

Change where changes flow to/from for a specific component. By default, the flow target specifies the stream/component pair where changes are accepted from or delivered to. Workspace/component pairs are also valid flow targets.

Synopsis

Same as elsewhere. Can run in logged-in mode, in a locally loaded workspace, or on an unloaded workspace.

Options and arguments

-d  |  --dir ] workspace-path
The path name of a local workspace created by scm load or scm share. This subcommand runs with workspace-path set as the current working directory. You can omit this option if the current working directory is in a local workspace.
-P  |  --password ] password for user ID in repository
The password for the specified user ID in the named repository. If this option is not included on the command line, you are prompted for a password. If you specified a repository URI or nickname for which you have stored credentials using the scm login command, this option is ignored.
-r  |  --repository-uri ] repository URI
Specifies the repository in which to take this action. If you have stored repository credentials using the scm login command, you can use the nickname you supplied for these stored credentials
-u  |  --username ] user ID in repository
Specifies a user ID that exists in the named repository. If you specified a repository URI or nickname for which you have stored credentials using the scm login command, this option is ignored.
workspace
The workspace containing the component whose flow target you wish to change. Must be a (unique) name, alias, or UUID.
target-workspace
The workspace or stream that you want to set as the default flow target. Must be a (unique) name, alias, or UUID.
component
The component whose flow target you want to change. Must be a (unique) component name, alias, or component UUID.

Examples

Changes the flow target of the Foundatio” component in the eSCM-2.0 workspace to point to the Continuous Jazz Integration stream:


$ scm change-target component eSCM-2.0 "Continuous Jazz Integration" Foundation
Target changed.
