Finding and reviewing records

Use the IBM® Rational Team Concert™ Web client to review existing ClearQuest® records and to submit new records.
About this task

To take advantage of the ClearQuest bridge, you might start by finding and reviewing records containing work that you want to schedule. You can add ClearQuest viewlets on your dashboard to provide easy access to records. Alternatively, you can use the ClearQuest Records view to find records.

To find records by using the ClearQuest Records view:

  1. On the Rational Team Concert Web client toolbar, select ClearQuest Records. The ClearQuest Records view opens. Notice the similarity with the Rational ClearQuest Web interface.
  2. Run a query to narrow your search, select a favorite record from your ClearQuest Favorites, search for a record by ID, or use the full-text search capabilities offered by the interface.
Attention: For the ClearQuest full-text search feature to function, your administrator must enable it in both ClearQuest Web and the Rational Team Concert Admin Web UI.
    • To run a query, browse the ClearQuest Navigator or your ClearQuest Favorites in the left column to locate the query and select it.
    • To view a record in your ClearQuest Favorites, select it.
    • To search for a record by ID, select By ID from the search menu , enter the ID in the adjacent text field, and click the search button .
    • To search for a record by using the full-text search feature, select Full Text from the search menu , enter the search criteria in the adjacent text field, and click the search button .
    The results grid appears.
  3. Select a record in the results grid to display it.
