You can use the ClearQuest Import Wizard to import records
from a ClearQuest user database into a project area. The imported
records are stored as work items in the Jazz™ Team Server repository.
The new work items are not synchronized with the ClearQuest records
upon which they are based.
Before you begin
Rational® ClearQuest® must
be installed on the computer where the
Rational Team Concert™ Eclipse
client is installed. You must have at least a Contributor Client Access
License (CAL) to run the wizard to create work items. If creating
work items involves creating categories, iterations, or releases,
then you need a Developer CAL. You must be assigned adequate process
permissions. If the import operation will create Jazz user accounts,
you must be a member of the JazzAdmins group.
About this task
Note: Each time that you run the ClearQuest Import Wizard
against a set of records, it creates work items for those records,
even if you have previously run it against the same records. To avoid
duplicate work items, be sure to run the wizard against a record only
once.
For fields that contain time values, the ClearQuest
Import Wizard supports both the 24-hour format (HH:mm) and am/pm (HH:mm
a) format. For example, both 13:36 and 1:36 pm are acceptable. The
table below lists the supported date formats.
