Team Central view

The Team Central view is organized into multiple News, Events, and Queries sections that are updated continually with the latest developments, such as build operations, change set deliveries, and work item modifications that affect your project.

By default, the following built-in sections are displayed, as shown in Figure 1:

Figure 1. Team Central view
This figure shows the Team Central view, including sections for project news, My Open Work Items, build results, and a list of team members showing their availability to chat.

You can configure and add sections to the view by clicking the Menu icon at the top of the view and selecting New Section. You can select additional built-in sections to display by selecting Visible Sections.

The My Open Work Items section uses a bar chart to display the number of open work items assigned to you by priority. You can hover your mouse pointer over a bar to see the work items in that category. Click on a bar to see the work items in the results grid of the Work Items view.

The Event Log section shows event information delivered by news feeds. By default, Jazz™ provides three news feeds:

The Build Events for My Teams feed delivers notification of build results for your project teams.

The My Work Item Changes feed delivers notification of changes made to work items that you own, created, modified, or subscribe to.

The My Teams in Project Area feed delivers notification of all events in your team areas.

You can define feeds and show them in the Event Log section.

The Team Load section graphically displays the workload of each member of a team for a specified iteration. For each team member, you can see the number of work hours available and the number of hours estimated for planned work items for the iteration.

The Build section shows events for builds that you choose to monitor. To add a build to the section, click the section Menu icon and select Add Builds.

You can add Events sections and configure them to contain various feeds.

You can add a Queries section and configure it to display the summary results of multiple queries in a bar chart. You can also create a query feed by right-clicking a query in the Team Artifacts view and selecting Subscribe to Query Feed. When you configure an Events section or the Event Log, you can then select that query feed from the Feed Section Configuration dialog. The query feed delivers notification of changes made to work items that the query returns.
