By default, all users have read access to the project area
and its artifacts, such as work items, iteration plans, builds, and
files under source control. You can restrict access to users who are
members of the project area or one of its team areas. You can also
restrict access to specific users.
Before you begin
You must be logged in to the Admin Web UI and be a member
of either the JazzProjectAdmins group or the JazzAdmins group.
About this task
To restrict read access to the project area:
- In the Admin Web interface, click the Project
Area Management tab.
- On the Manage Project Areas page, click an active project
from the list.
- On the project area page, click Access Control.
- Do one or more of the following actions:
- To grant access to only repository administrators (members
of JazzAdmins), select No one (repository administrators
only).
- To grant access to all users who are members of the project
area or one of its team areas, select Members of the project
area hierarchy.
- To grant access to all users who are members of the project
area and to some other users, select Members of the project
area hierarchy and users in the access list. In the Users
to be Added to the Access List section, click Add.
Select the users to whom you want to grant read access. You do not
need to add users who are members of the project area hierarchy.
- To grant access to a specific set of users, select Users
in the access list only. In the Users to be
Added to the Access List section, click Add.
Select the users to whom you want to grant read access.
- To revoke read access for a specific user, select Users
in the access list only. In the Users to be
Removed from the Access List section, click Add.
Select the user for whom you want to revoke read access.
- To see all users in the access list, click Search in
the Browse Access List section. You can also
search for a specific user in the list.
- Click Save to save your changes. None
of the access changes takes effect until you save the project area.
