This topic provides information about configuring a Jazz™ Team Server for System z® that needs access to a DB2® repository on z/OS® when the Jazz Team
Server for System z is
not installed on z/OS.
If you are using a DB2 database
on z/OS, the Jazz Team Server for System z and the Jazz Team Server for System z repository tools need access to
several JDBC license .jar files that are shipped with DB2 for z/OS.
To set access to the license files, complete the following steps:
- Create a directory called db2z under the JazzInstallDir/server directory.
- In the directory you created, save copies of the db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar and db2jcc.jar files
from your system. You can find these files in the DB2 9.1
SDSNJCC file system, which is usually mounted at a file
path like /usr/lpp/db2910_jdbc. The jar files
are in the classes subdirectory
of that directory.
These instructions describe how to connect to DB2 on z/OS.
The instructions apply to all platforms. The DB2 setup tasks should be performed by your DB2 administrator.
