Configuring viewlet chooser entries in the process

You can add custom viewlet chooser entries in the project area process specification. This is particularly handy for RSS or Atom feeds that are only relevant within the context of a specific project.
About this task
Editions note: While Rational Team Concert™ Standard edition and Enterprise edition include the full dashboard functionality described in this topic, the Express and Express-C editions include limited dashboard support. In the Express and Express-C editions, each project area includes a single project dashboard with a single dashboard tab. Dashboards are not available for individual users or teams.
Note: A user must have permission to modify the process and save the project area to configure the viewlet chooser entries.

To add custom viewlet chooser entries to the process:

  1. In the Team Artifacts view of the Eclipse IDE, right-click the project area and click Open from the pop-up menu
  2. Click the Process Configuration tab at the bottom of the editor.
  3. In the Configuration section, select the following node:

Project Configuration > Configuration Data > Dashboards > Viewlet Chooser Entries

  4. Select the category where you want to add an entry, or create a new category or subcategory.
  5. Add one or more entries. For each entry, specify the desired title, trim, description, and optional preference values that should override the defaults.
Note: The order of entries is not important because all categories and entries at the same level of the hierarchy are sorted alphabetically.
