Viewing work items in a plan

The Planned Items page of a plan displays the work items planned for the release or the iteration. You can customize the way you want to view the work items.
Before you begin
To view work items in a plan, team members must have assigned work items that are planned for the iteration. The work items must be assigned to categories that are associated with the plan's team area.
About this task

To open a plan, in the Team Artifacts view, expand the Plans folder and double-click a plan. You can modify the way work items should be displayed in the Planned Items tab. Work items are displayed and grouped based on the plan modes. Each plan type has a set of plan modes. For more information on plan modes associated with each plan type, see topics on each plan.

You can create new plan modes to configure the way work items are grouped and displayed. For more information on creating new plan modes and grouping work items, see Grouping work items in a plan.

You can also perform the tasks described in Table 1 to modify the display.
