If you want to update the contents of your component with
the contents of another component or baseline, you can use the replace
operation. The replace operation provides a convenient way to update
the component that you depend on but do not modify.
Before you begin
Before you replace the contents of a component, ensure that
all the unresolved changes are checked-in.
About this task
To replace contents of a component with another component:
Procedure
- In the Pending Changes tool window,
navigate to the component that you want to replace. You
can also navigate to a component in a repository workspace or stream
in the Team Artifacts window.
- Right-click the component, hover the mouse pointer over Replace
With, and click any of the following options:
- Baseline: Replaces your component with the baseline
component. In the Select a Baseline window, select
a baseline and click OK. If
you want to view all baselines, click Clear Filter.
If you want to view baselines of a particular workspace or stream,
click Filter, type a string for workspace or
stream, and click OK.
- Component from Another Workspace or Stream: Replaces
your component with the component of another workspace or stream.
In the Select a Stream or Workspace window, select
a stream or workspace the component of which you want to replace with
your component and click OK.
- Latest from: Replaces your component with the latest
component of your component's flow target.

Now, you can load the contents of the new workspace to your
local workspace.
