Canceling a synchronization request

You can abandon a pending synchronization. You can also cancel a running synchronization if it has hung.

About this task

When a synchronization request has a status of Pending, you can cancel it for any reason. When a synchronization request has a status of In progress, do not cancel it unless you are certain that it has hung (for example, if there has been a network outage or hardware failure).

To cancel a synchronization request:

Procedure

  1. Open the ClearCase Synchronized Streams view, right-click the stream whose synchronization you want to cancel, and click Show Synchronization History.
  2. In the Build History view, right-click the most recent entry and click Abandon Build if the build is listed as In progress or Cancel Build Request if it is listed as Pending.
