models enable you to collect the language descriptors and place the
language descriptors in a specific file that can be used to translate
into a different language. Translated models are helpful when clients
or developers from different regions of the world need to view or
work with models created in a different language.
About this task
To export the language descriptors for a UML model:
Procedure
- In the Project Explorer, right-click
a model and then click .
- In the Export window, click Other and
click Localizable Properties.
- Select a model, specify a target location for the localizable
properties file and click Finish.
Results
A file with a file extension of
.properties is
created that contains the strings translatable items from the model.
To use a translated file, click . Select a file that has the extension
.properties,
select the model, and click
Finish.
