In UML diagrams, you can
set the multiplicity value on each end of an association between classifiers
to show the number of objects that can participate in the relationship.
You can also set the multiplicity of an attribute to specify the number
of values that you can associate with that attribute.
Before you begin
Before you can complete this task,
you must have an open diagram that contains an association, attribute,
or combination of both. Also, associations and the classifier's attribute
list compartment must be visible. Ensure that you have not set preferences
to filter or hide associations and attributes.

Procedure
- In the diagram editor, click an association or an attribute.
- In the Properties view, click the General tab.
- On the General page, complete one
of the following steps:
- For an association, in the multiplicity field for each end
of the association, specify a value.
- For an attribute, in the multiplicity field, specify a value.
