You can use deployment diagrams
to model the physical layout or topology of a system. Deployment diagrams
describe the configuration of runtime processing nodes and the artifacts
that are deployed on them.
About this task
You can create one or several deployment diagrams to illustrate
the physical nodes on which your system executes or that support execution,
as well as their physical connections and their relationships. You
can add diagram elements to represent the nodes that exist in your
system and you can add connectors to illustrate the relationships
that exist between nodes.
Note: Deployment
diagrams are distinct from deployment topologies, a different type
of model. For information on deployment topologies, see
Modeling
deployment topologies.
