When you create a new UML model, it references the UMLPrimitiveTypes
model library by default. You can import other libraries that you
want to reference and then use the elements that the libraries define
to set the type for elements and attributes in models.
Before you begin
You must have a model file open in the
Modeling perspective.
About this task
To import a
model library:
Procedure
- In the Project Explorer view, right-click
a model; then click Import Model Library.
- In the Import Model Library dialog box, complete one of
the following steps:
- To import a type library that is available in the modeling
tool, click Deployed Library and select a library
from the list.
- To import a library that is available in your workspace, such
as one that you created from a model, select Library in
Workspace and browse to the library.
- To import a library file, such as one available on a network
drive, select File and browse to the location.
- Click OK.
Results
The new model library is displayed in the
Model
Libraries list on the
Details page
of the
Model Editor view. You can add referenced
model libraries to this list or remove libraries that are not required.
Note: You can also import a model library into a profile; however,
only three deployed libraries are available: UMLPrimitive types, Ecore
Primitive types, and Java Primitive
types.
