You can specify how imported Rational
Rose models appear on the Rational Rose Model Import Preferences page
of the Rational Rose Model Import wizard.
Before you begin
Before you specify import preferences
for Rational Rose models, you must have specified a model to import,
selected a destination project, resolved any broken references to
subunits, and determined how to import property sets and stereotypes
to profiles.
About this task
Note: For detailed information about the preferences that
you can specify, press F1 on the Rational Rose Model Import
Preferences page to see the context-sensitive help.
To
specify diagram element preferences:
- On the Rational Rose Model Import Preferences page,
select one or more of the model migration and diagram appearance preferences.
- To convert any unmapped transition
events, excluding those that start with When, After, or At, to signal,
change, or call events, select the event from the Convert
unmapped State Machine Transition Events to list.
- To complete the import process for the Rational Rose model,
click Finish. The model and
all related files, such as profiles, are displayed in the Navigator
view.
What to do next
The time it takes to import
and parse a model depends on its size. Large model files
with many model and diagram elements, profiles, and pathmap references
take longer to import. You can now verify the results of the import
process.
