Creating service interfaces for capabilities in service models

This content applies to version 7.5.4 or later. Service interfaces represent how service providers and consumers will interact with each other, both within and outside the system. A service interface will typically define one or more operations that the service will provide. It may also define one or more operations that a consumer of the service must provide. You can create a service interface from scratch or derive one from a BPMN element.

A service interface that contains operations is created in the Properties view, on the Operations page. If you created a service interface from a BPMN element with tasks, a service interface is created with an operation for each task.
