You can configure automatic builds for projects in your workspace
to take place when a project resource is saved.
About this task
Setting up automatic builds for UML development projects is a two
step process. First, the global setting must be enabled. Then, individual
projects must have their build setting configured to enable the automatic
build feature.
To configure automatic builds on a global basis:
Procedure
- Click and click OK.
- To configure the setting for an individual project, in the Project
Explorer view, right-click the modeling project root; then click .
- Select the Build project automatically on resource change
(save) check box.
- Click OK.
- Repeat steps 2 through 4 for each referenced project that you want
to participate in a build operation.
Results
When you save a resource in the current project, the active transformations
for the project run and generate code. Next, a build in the target project
compiles the generated source code. Required and dependent projects are also
built in the required order, depending on the local project settings.
What to do next
If the global setting for automatic builds is not enabled when you
save a resource, you must manually build the target project to compile the
generated code.
