If most of your projects are targeting the same configuration and
RTS library location, you can save time by setting system environment variables
at the OS level that will be used by the CDT project wizard to set the CDT
environment variables.
About this task
To set default properties on a system:
Procedure
- Open the Environment Variables window.
- (Windows XP system) Open the Control Panel; then click .
- Click the Advanced tab; then click Environment
Variables.
- Under the System variables section, set
the following variables in your system environment:

Environment variable for the TargetRTS location path. |
| RSDRT_PLATFORM |
Platform name used to derive the configuration. For example, “SUN5”
or “NT40Cygwin” for Solaris and Win32 respectively. |

Environment variable for the library set location. Identifies the
default platform architecture and compiler information for the platform. For
example, “sparc_debug” or “x86-cygwin-gnu-2.95.3-5.” |
