In the Rational modeling products, the name and documentation of a use case model element must be synchronized with the name and text of a requirement in a RequisitePro project. The default setting for the synchronization policy for use cases is Prompt. If a conflict between the use case model element and a requirement is detected, a synchronization window opens so that you can decide which name and text to use. However, to avoid the opening of multiple synchronization windows during the RequisitePro upgrade, the use case name is always copied to the requirement name. If the use case model element does not contain documentation, the requirement text from the RequisitePro project is copied to the use case documentation.
If the use case model element contains documentation, you specify a preference for synchronizing use case documentation with requirement text.
