The manifest (.rmd) file organizes and maintains the
data needed to restore the RAS asset structure and files in the RAS asset
consumer's workspace. The manifest file provides documentation for the RAS
asset consumer and is searched for matching search keywords when a consumer
searches a repository for assets.
Before you begin
When you export the asset, you can use the default manifest file,
or create a customized file based on the profile types for the asset.
About this task
To create a customized manifest file:
Procedure
- Click to open the New wizard.
- Expand RAS, select RAS Manifest,
and click Next. You may need to select the Show
All Wizards check box if you do not see the RAS folder.
- In the RAS Manifest window, select any storage folder, optionally
you may change the default Asset.rmd name.
- Next, from the list in the Profile to use for the manifest field,
select the desired profile type for your manifest file, and click Next. Your manifest file is created and opens in the manifest editor.
