You can add nested groups in the
Pattern Explorer view. In addition, you can add top-level folders
to the Patterns Repository node in the
Asset Explorer view that also displays in the
Pattern Explorer view. To add a top-level group, you must add it as a repository-level
folder, in the Asset Explorer view.
About this task
You can perform most pattern tasks by using
the Pattern Explorer view. Every pattern is assigned
to at least one group when the pattern is created. Groups are used
to organize patterns in the Pattern Explorer view. The Pattern Explorer
view and the Pattern Repository in the Asset Explorer view list the same installed patterns.
The Asset Explorer
view lists all connected repositories and all types of
assets. The Asset Explorer view offers features
that you can use for repository sorting. Both the assets and their
manifests are individually displayed. All installed patterns appear
in the Pattern Repository. The parameters of the pattern template
are not listed.
