Limitations of migrating models from Rational Rose RealTime to Rational Software Architect RealTime Edition

Before you import Rational Rose® RealTime models into Rational® Software Architect RealTime Edition, you should understand these model migration limitations.

For a complete listing of all the limitations of migrating Rational Rose RealTime models, see the release notes for Rational Software Architect RealTime Edition.

The Rational Rose RealTime model import process has the following limitations:

Diagram appearance
Any differences in diagram appearance are typically the result of UML notation differences between the version supported in Rational Rose RealTime and the version supported in Rational Software Architect RealTime Edition.
Import restrictions
The Rational Rose RealTime Model Import wizard only imports Rational Rose RealTime models; you cannot import Rational Rosemodels unless you install the Rational Rose Model Import wizard.
One-way import process
The import process is one-way; after you import a model, you cannot bring the imported model back into Rational Rose RealTime.
Rational RequisitePro® associations
If the Rational Rose RealTime model contains direct associations to a Rational RequisitePro project, after you import the model, it cannot reference the requirements in the Rational RequisitePro project.
Version requirements
You should only import Rational Rose RealTime models that have been opened in the latest version of Rational Rose RealTime (IBM® Rational Rose RealTime 7.0.0.1, which is Fix Pack 1 for 7.0.0.0). Although you can import Rational Rose RealTime models that were created in earlier versions of the product, parts of the model might not import correctly or completely.
