In sequence diagrams, when you create a destroy message, a stop
node is created automatically on the lifeline. However, you can manually create
a stop node on a lifeline to terminate the lifeline at a specific position.
Before you begin
You must have a sequence diagram with lifelines open.
About this task
To terminate a lifeline with a stop node:
Procedure
- In the Palette, click Stop Node.
- On a lifeline, click where you want to terminate the interaction
instance.
Results
The lifeline ends at the position of the stop node, which is designated
by a destruction marker (X).
What to do next
Note: You cannot create a stop node above messages or
interaction fragments on a lifeline.
