About this task
If you do not want to import any of the Rational Rose stereotypes to a profile,
clear the Import stereotypes as UML profiles check
box, and then click Next to specify the preferences
that define how diagram elements appear after import.
Note: If you have already imported a Rational Rose model, a warning message
might appear in the header of the Rational Rose Model Import wizard that
indicates that a new stereotype must be mapped to an existing profile.
This message is displayed when you import a stereotype configuration
file that has changed since the last time you imported it.
Important: When you import stereotypes that are defined in stereotype
configuration (INI) files of a specific add-in, you must have Rational Rose as well
as the corresponding add-in installed. For example, if you are importing
a model created with the Java Add-In,
you must have both Rational
Rose and the Java Add-In
installed so the Rational
Rose Model Import wizard can access the various EJB stereotypes
and image files that the Java Add-In
uses. For the best results, import the Rational Rose model in the same Rational Rose environment
that you used when you developed the Rational Rose model.

Rose stereotypes to UML profiles:

Now you can map user-defined
types to a new custom model library, or to existing model libraries,
or you can convert user-defined types to primitive or class types.
