If you want to use the silent installation capabilities
of Installation Manager, you need to create a response file that contains
all of the commands that Installation Manager must run. You can create
a response file by recording your actions as you install a package.
You can also create or edit a response file manually.
There are two categories of commands for the response file:
- Preference commands are used to set preferences that are
found in Installation Manager under , such as repository
location information.
- Silent installation commands are used to emulate the Install
Packages wizard in Installation Manager.
