SoaML model details

This content applies to version 7.5.4 or later. The SoaML model consists of a business process model, a services model, and two transformation configurations.

The following table lists each artifact and provides a short summary for each. For more information, import the sample into your workspace to explore and investigate it.

Artifact File Description
Business process model Business Process.bpmx This business process model is the input for the services model. The model was created by a business analyst to help communicate the business process and requirements to an IT analyst or architect.
Services model Purchase Order Process.emx This services model was derived from the business process model. In most cases, an IT analyst or architect creates a model to identify, prioritize, and design services to automate some or all of the business process.
Transformation configurations UML2SCA.tc and UML2SOA.tc You can use these two transformation configuration files to generate code for OpenSCA or BPEL from the services model. This code is ready for actual implementation.
