Setting the active transformation configuration in diagrams

You can set a specific transformation configuration as active so that it can be used by the UML development project builder when you build the model. You can still manually run transformation configurations, including those not set as active, through the user interface of Rational® UML modeling products.

Before you begin

One or more transformation configurations in your UML development project must be visualized in component diagrams.

About this task

To set the active transformation configuration in a visualization diagram:

Procedure

  1. In the diagram editor, right-click a transformation configuration component.
  2. Ensure Active Transformation Configuration is selected: If not selected, click Active Transformation Configuration.
    • If a check mark is displayed, it is selected.
    • If a check mark is not displayed, click Active Transformation Configuration.

Results

The transformation configuration file is set as active in the UML Development project. In the diagram, active configurations are indicated by a green check mark in their component icon. If other transformation configurations exist in the project and are set to active, they remain active.

Example

What to do next

You might now choose to deactivate other configurations in the project so that they are not available to run during a project build.
Tip: You can also set multiple active transformation configurations in the Project Explorer view by right-clicking a project; then clicking Properties > UML Development Build.
