Changing the properties of a node

This topic describes how to change the properties associated with the node.
These are not the same properties that are displayed in the Properties view when the node is selected (see Properties view). These are properties associated with the node itself. The particular properties depend on the type of node (see Table 1).
Table 1. Properties associated with a node
Type of node: Property: Description:
All types of nodes Long Description Optional. Long text description.
All types of nodes Short Description Optional. Short text description.
Assign node Mapping Routine Optional. Mapping routine associated with the node.
Invoke screen operation node or Invoke nonterminal node Action Name Required. Name of the operation that the node is performing.
To view or change the properties of a node:
  1. Select a node on the flow editor canvas.
  2. On the menu bar of the workbench, select Flow > Properties.
  3. The Node Properties window opens.
  4. In the Node Properties window:
    1. In the left pane, select a category of properties (such as Basic).
    2. In the right pane, select or type in the value that you want to use.
    3. Click Apply to apply the change.
    4. Click OK to close the window.
  5. The properties of the node are updated to the values that you specify.
