You can share z/OS® projects
with others by exporting them from your workspace and importing them
into another's workspace.
Rational® Developer
for System z® enables you
to share workstation-based (as opposed to host-based) z/OS projects with other users by exporting
them to an archive file, placing the archive file in some accessible
location, and then importing the archive file into another workspace.
When you export a z/OS project,
the archive file contains the complete project: properties, definitions,
subprojects, and resources. When the project is then imported into
another workspace, it is identical to the original project, with the
possible exception of the project name and subproject high-level qualifier.
Note: Exporting
and importing z/OS projects
apply to workstation-based z/OS projects
only. These actions are not valid for local projects or host-based
projects. z/OS UNIX subprojects use a different
mechanism for import and export and are not included in an exported z/OS project. See the related topics
for information about exporting and importing z/OS UNIX subprojects.
