Setting compiler options for linked resources

If you have copybooks or include files in linked folders located outside of your workspace, you can configure your COBOL and PL/I settings to find these resources during syntax check or open copybook and open include file operations.
To set local compiler options for copybooks or include files in linked folders:
  1. Edit the property group associated with the resource.
  2. Click the COBOL tab or the PL/I tab, according to the language of the source code.
  3. On the COBOL Settings or PL/I Settings page, select the Local Compiler Options item.
  4. In the SYSLIB field specify the path to the linked folder containing the copybooks or include files. You can specify a full or relative path:
    • To specify a full path, type the full path name of the workspace and project, including the name of the linked folder. The following example points to a linked folder named LINKEDFOLDER in the PROJNAME project in workspace MYWORKSPACE: C:\MYWORKSPACE\PROJNAME\LINKEDFOLDER.
    • To specify a relative path, type the project name and linked folder name delineated by forward slashes, indicating a relative path. The following example points to a linked folder named LINKEDFOLDER in the PROJNAME project: /PROJNAME/LINKEDFOLDER.
