Search SCLM

Select the SCLM Project, right click, and select Search SCLM search the SCLM project hierarchy for specific strings within members.

The Search Utility provides you with an SCLM interface to the ISPF SuperC utility. This interface allows you to search all members in a project hierarchy or members specified by group/type/member patterns for one or more strings. The SCLM Search Utility allows the scan of a combination of SCLM groups, types, and members for certain strings.

You must enter the following selection criteria:

Group
Specify a single group or wildcard like *, or DEV*. If you specify a specific group then you can also set the "Search hierarchy" option to allocate the hierarchy to search the group specified.
Type
Specify a single type or wildcard like *, or CO*.
Member
Specify a member as a single member or wildcard such as *, or *AB*, or AB*.

You can select or clear the following search options:

Search hierarchy
Specify a single group (no wildcards in the group field) to optionally be search the hierarchy. SCLM searches the hierarchy from the entered group upwards. When you select Search hierarchy then SCLM only scans the first occurrence of a member in the hierarchy. To search all levels in the hierarchy clear this field and place an * in the group field. Select More: - + and place an * in the group field.
Additional search strings
SuperC option: An additional panel is displayed to enter additional search strings.
Case sensitive
SuperC option: Clear this option to add ANYC to the list of SuperC PROCESS OPTIONS. Select case sensitive to specift that search strings are case sensitive.
Mixed Mode
SuperC option: Select this option to add MIXED to the list of SuperC PROCESS OPTIONS.
Bypass selection list
SuperC option: Clear this option and enter a member pattern to see a member list from which you can select members. These members are then passed through to SuperC.
Editable types only
Select this option to prevent non-editable SCLM types such as listings from being searched. This option can be used only if no SCLM type can have both editable and non-editable members.
