A single mapping routine can be referenced by multiple Assign nodes
and by multiple input terminals or output terminals of
Invoke nodes.
Recall that a reference to a mapping routine contains (a) the name of a
mapping routine, and (b) the name of the mapping file in which
the mapping routine is located (see How mapping routines are accessed).
A single mapping routine can be referenced by multiple Assign nodes and
by multiple input terminals
or output terminals of
Invoke nodes. You can use this functionality in the following situations:
- You want to be able to quickly select an existing mapping routine to be
used at any point in the flow.
- You have designed a mapping routine for reusability across multiple flows,
or in repeated steps of the same flow.
To set a mapping reference in an Invoke node or an Assign node to a particular
mapping, use the Select Mapping Routine menu item in
the flow editor (see Selecting a mapping routine for an Invoke or Assign node).
