Lesson 5: Associate property groups to the z/OS subprojects

To assemble, link, or compile the source files in the Global Auto Mart sample, property groups need to be associated to the different subprojects. This lesson will guide you through the steps to associate a property group to a z/OS® subproject.

To associate the created property groups with the z/OS subprojects:

  1. Make sure you are in the z/OS Projects perspective and are connected to the host system.
  2. In the z/OS Projects view, expand Project A. Right click on the subproject, GAM0MC1, and select Property Group > Associate Property Group.
  3. In the Associate Property Group dialog box that opens, select GAM0MC1 Assemble. Click OK.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 to associate the GAM0MC2 subproject with the GAM0MC2 Assemble property group and the GAM0MC3 subproject with the GAM0MC3 Assemble property group.
  5. Now, expand Project B, and repeat steps 2-3 to associate all three subprojects (GAM0MC1, GAM0MC2, GAM0MC3) with the Assemble and Link property group
  6. Finally, expand Project C and repeat steps 2-3 to associate GAM0VII and GAM0VMI subprojects with the COBOL Interface Compile project group and GAM0VMM and GAM0VSI subprojects with the COBOL Compile project group.
