Copying from a local system to a remote system or from remote to local

You must connect to the remote MVS™ system.
Copying to a partitioned data set member or sequential data set (local or z/OS® UNIX System Services to remote MVS system).
Note: When you copy from a local or z/OS UNIX location to a partitioned data set on MVS, you must be sure that what you are copying does not violate the LRECL (logical record length) or RECFM (record format) criteria in effect on the destination. The copy will not take place if the LRECL and RECFM on the remote system are violated.
  1. Select the file you want to copy. Right-click and select Copy.
  2. Locate and select the destination container (partitioned data set or Filter) on the remote system.
  3. Select Paste. The partitioned data set member or sequential data set is created on the remote system with the same name and same properties.
