The views in the Enterprise Service Tools perspective

The Enterprise Service Tools perspective contains views that allow you to develop projects.

To open a view that has been closed see Opening or reopening a view.

The views in Enterprise Service Tools perspective are:
EST Project Explorer:
Located by default on the left side of the Enterprise Service Tools perspective, the EST Project Explorer view, known simply as the EST Project Explorer, displays a hierarchical and conceptual view of the projects, subprojects, folders, and component artifacts in your workspace (see The EST Project Explorer). In this view you can create new artifacts, rename artifacts, open artifacts for editing, drag artifacts onto the flow editor canvas, or delete artifacts.
Navigator view:
Located by default on a tab behind the EST Project Explorer, the Navigator view displays a hierarchical view of the actual files and folders in your workspace. You can use the Navigator view to store source files (such as BMS files, COBOL files, PL/I files, WSDL files, HATS connection files, and HATS screen files) that contain information that you plan to later import into a project. For example, you might create a folder called My COBOL Files to contain COBOL source files. (To create a folder, right-click over the Navigator view and then select New > Other > General > Folder). You can then copy files from any directory on your hard disk to your My COBOL Files folder in the Navigator view simply by using the drag feature provided by your operating system's user interface for moving or copying files.
Note: For some types of Enterprise Service Tools artifacts, there is not a one-to-one correspondence between an artifact displayed in the EST Project Explorer and a single file in the Navigator view. The information displayed for the artifact in the EST Project Explorer might be distributed among several files and folders shown in the Navigator view.
Editor area:
Located by default in the central area of the Enterprise Services Tools perspective and extending to the right side, the editor area provides a rectangular space for various editors that can be invoked to modify the various types of artifacts found in service flow projects and in single-service projects. (These artifacts include operations, messages, flows, flow mappings, generation properties, and others.) See, for example, Editors used with service flow projects.
The editor area is initially blank. You can open an editor by double-clicking an artifact in the EST Project Explorer or by right-clicking an artifact and then selecting Open or Open With.
Outline view:
Located by default at the lower left of the Enterprise Service Tools perspective, the Outline view displays information about an item currently being edited in the editor area. Depending on the editor, the Outline view may allow you to perform editing actions as well as to view information.
Properties view:
Located by default at the lower right of the Enterprise Service Tools perspective the Properties view displays information about an object selected in the editor area.
Tasks view:
The Tasks view allows you specify and prioritize tasks for your project.
Problems view:
As you work with resources in the workbench, various builders may automatically log problems, errors, or warnings in the Problems view.
