JES subsystem details

The Remote System Details view shows information about jobs you have submitted to the remote system. You can access this information in one of the following ways:

The JES subsystem details provide information about each job listed. The following list describes some of the fields displayed for each job. You can choose which fields to display by selecting Customize Table from the drop-down menu in the right corner of this view:

Job ID
The system-generated job ID.
Job Name
The name given in the JOB statement of your JCL.
Job Owner
The user ID of the job owner.
Job Entry Date
The date the job was submitted.
Programmer
Identifies the person or group responsible for the job.
Return Code
The code returned by the remote system.
Return Info
Message information concerning the job.
Line Count
The line count for complete jobs and individual job steps.
Return Status
The condition of the job. For example, running or completed.
Hold Status
Identifies jobs that are being held or delayed until some external event has occurred.
Priority
Shows the value of the priority set for the job.
Exec Node
The job executes on this node.

You can perform the following tasks in the JES subsystem details view by selecting a job from the table and clicking the following pop-up menu items:

Open
Open the job output in the System z® LPEX editor.
Hold
Hold job output.
Cancel
Cancel the job.
Note: You need to manually refresh this view before canceled jobs are removed from the view.
Purge
Purge job output from the table.
Note: You need to manually refresh this view before purged jobs are removed from the view.
Release
Release a held job.
Show JCL (SJ)
Opens the JCL used to submit the selected job in a System z LPEX editor session.
Refresh Status
Update the job status fields in the table.
