Transformations

When working with transformations, you can specify bidirectional options at the project, table, and column levels. You can also set options for the host format and web services.
Bidirectional options can be specified separately for the following categories:
Content
This category controls the settings for the data content.
Metadata
This category controls the settings for the column and table names. By default, the metadata settings match the content settings.
Canonical
This category controls the canonical format of bidirectional data on the host. All database data will be converted to and from this format.
Web Service
After the database data is converted to the host bidirectional format, it is converted to this format (separately for inbound and outbound) when the Web Service interface is created.

At the project or table level, you can use the Disable Bidi conversion option. For content, no bidirectional conversions are generated for the selected element. For metadata, no bidirectional conversions are applied to column and table names.
