When the New Generation Properties wizard creates a generation
properties file for a flow, the wizard assigns default values to most
of the generation properties in the file. In the generation properties
editor, you can view or modify the default values and also set values
for any generation properties that have not been initialized.
Each node in the generation properties file corresponds with a
node in the associated flow and has the same name as the node in the
flow. The nodes in the generation property file are arranged in a
hierarchical tree. The topmost node in the generation properties file
is the flow node and contains the generation properties for
the entire flow. The remaining nodes are invoke nodes and contain
the generation properties of the associated Invoke nodes in the flow
(see Guide to the generation properties editor).
In this part of the tutorial you modify the generation properties
of the flow node. You do not need to modify the values of any of the
invoke nodes, because the default values are sufficient.
For this tutorial, configure the generation properties as follows:
- Open the generation properties file with the generation properties
editor. The editor displays in the left pane of
the editor area a hierarchical tree containing the flow node and the
invoke nodes. The editor displays on the right side of the editor
area the generation properties for the currently selected node left
pane.
In the left pane, select the flow node SampleProject (the
topmost node in the tree) if it is not already selected.
Set the common generation properties:- In the Flow Type list, select FEPI.
- In the Request Name field, type SAMPRQNM.
The Request Name is the name that you want the CICS® Service Flow Runtime to use to start the
service flow.
- In the Program Name field, type SAMPPGNM.
The Program Name is the name that you want to be given to the main
COBOL file that is generated for the service flow.
- In the Transaction ID field, type IFS1. This ID is the transaction ID that you want to be used
in CICS to refer to the service
flow.
- In the Run Mode field select SYNC.
- Leave the Comment field blank.
- Do not select the Persistent check
box.
- Do not select the Generate Internal
Data Structures check box.
- In the Generate Web Service Files field
select None.
- In the Host Codepage list,
select 037 United States.
In the FEPI Flow Properties group
leave all the fields blank except the following:- In the Pool field enter SAMPPOOL. This
name used to establish the connection and conversation with a target
application.
- The Timeout field should
be set to 30.
- The Logoff Type field
should be set to Release
