Invalid pointers cause infinite loop

Providing non-null invalid pointers to XML converters or drivers causes an infinite loop. The XML converters attempt to detect and report null pointers passed by the caller. For non-null invalid pointers, the XML Converters likely encounter and return, a protection exception (SOC4).
