You can use the Database Application Generator preferences
to specify deployment settings for specific target systems. To modify
the preferences, select .
For information about customizing COBOL templates,
see Setting preferences for COBOL code templates and Creating templates for COBOL source files.
JCL job card
Specify
the JCL settings for Database Application projects.
Note: Some of the generated JCL artifacts might need further customization
in order to work correctly in certain environments.
CICS Deployment
You
can set the following options for deployment onto CICS® systems:
- Transaction Name
- This parameter specifies the CICS transaction
name.
Example: CPIH

MVS Deployment
You can
set the following options for deployment onto MVS™ systems:
- Target MVS System
- This is the system that compiles the generated COBOL code and
runs the program.
Example: thezossystem.ibm.com
- Host Code Page
- This setting specifies the code page on the target MVS system.
Example: IBM-037
To
enable bidirectional options, you must specify the applicable code
page. For Arabic, select the IBM-420 code page.
For Hebrew, select the IBM-424 code page.
- COBOL Source PDS
- This parameter is the location of the source COBOL code that is
generated by the Database Application Generator and placed on the
target MVS system.
Example: USER1.WAM.COBOL
- JCL Source PDS
- This parameter is the data set for the JCL copybooks.
Example: USER1.WAM.JCL
- Copy Member PDS
- This parameter specifies the copy member data set.
