Developer for System z
Debugging CICS applications
Rational® Developer for System z® offers two approaches for debugging CICS® applications: using a debug configuration or using the DTCN transaction. This topic and its subtopics describe both approaches.
Setting preferences for CICS debug configurations
Use the CICS Debug Configuration page to set preferences for the CICS debug configuration wizard.
Creating a debug configuration for a CICS application
You can create debug configuration to activate as a DTCN profile that stores information used to invoke the CICS debugger.
Generating a debug configuration from CICS application data
Rational Developer for System z can generate a CICS debug configuration from information it gathers from your CICS applications.
Debugging CICS applications using DTCN
You can debug CICS applications using generated JCL or the DTCN transaction.
