To rename a screen interaction, select the name of the screen interaction in the Outline view and then modify the Name property of the screen interaction in the Properties view.
You can rename a screen interaction in two locations in the service flow project tools:
- In the screen operations editor, you can rename a screen interaction in the screen operations file that is displayed in the Outline view.
- In the host editor, you can rename a screen interaction in the working flow that is displayed in the Outline view.
In both cases, the screen interaction is displayed in the Outline view, and therefore in both cases the steps for renaming a screen interaction are essentially the same.
To rename a screen interaction:
- Verify that you are in the correct context in the service flow project tools:
- If you are in the screen operations editor, verify that the Actions tab is selected.
- If you are in the host editor, verify that the host editor is in flow mode (see Screen operations mode and flow mode).
- In the Outline view, click the name of the screen interaction that you want to rename (for example, Screen Interaction 0).The properties of the selected screen interaction are displayed in the Properties view.
- In the Properties view:
- Click the Name property. (You can click either in the Property column or in the Value column.)
- In the Value column, type the new name and press the Enter key.
Note: Do not modify the Prompt All property or the Reusable property.
Note: Although each screen interaction is assigned a default name when it is created, such as "Screen Interaction 1", you should assign a more meaningful and memorable name to each screen interaction that you intend to use in a flow recording. Then, when you are doing the flow recording and the host editor allows you to select from a list of screen interactions a single screen interaction that is going to be used to process the current application screen, you can look at the name of each screen interaction in the list and hopefully remember from the name what actions the screen interaction performs.
