Creating a local z/OS project

To create a local z/OS® project, do these steps:

  1. Switch to the z/OS Projects perspective.
  2. Select the z/OS Projects view.
  3. From the File menu, select New > Project. The New Project wizard opens.
  4. Expand Workstation COBOL or PL/I, select Local Project, and click Next.
  5. Type a name for the project. You must set this property to create a project.
  6. To create the project in the default workspace, click Use default, or, to create the project in a different location, clear this check box and click Browse to select a new location.
  7. From the property group area, select one of the following options:
    • Select a property group to associate with the new project: Click this radio button and then select a property group for the new project.
    • Create a new property group and associate it with the project. Click Finish to edit the property group: Click this radio button to create a new property group for the project. Type a name for the group in the Name field and then click Finish to set property values.
    • Do not associate the project with a property group: Click this radio button to create the project without associating it with a property group.
  8. Click Finish to create the project.
