You can use CICS® TXSeries for Windows to provide translation
support for EXEC CICS statements.
You need to install CICS TXSeries for Windows on your workstation before you can
enable CICS translation with CICS TXSeries for Windows.
Rational® Developer for System z® does not support TXSeries on the Linux platform.
To enable CICS translation
support using CICS TXSeries for Windows, follow these steps:
- If your code is written in COBOL, Open the COBOL
Settings Properties page. If your code is written in PL/I,
open PL/I Settings.
- Click the Local Compile Options tab.
- Select Invoke preprocessor.
- In the Preprocessor Options field,
modify or accept the default options and click OK.
- For COBOL, the default options are CICSNT -lIBMCOB
-adesvp.
- For PL/I, the default options are MACRO CICS('SUBSYS(CICSTNT)'
edf debug source print) MACRO.
You can now execute local syntax checks and perform local
builds on your configured resource.
