Populate Project Filtered View

To populate the SCLM Repository View with a new filter, go to the view, right click and select Populate Project Filtered View.

You will be prompted for an Alternate project name. Your SCLM project Administrator will advise you if you are using an alternate project. You can leave this field blank if you are not using an alternate project definition, or type the name of the alternate project in the field provided. At this point you can click the Retrieve button to bring up a list of available groups. Select the development group you normally work in and click Ok.

The SCLM Project Filter page is displayed.

This page allows you to populate the selected SCLM project with a filtered list of SCLM members. Member lists can be filtered by group, type, language, member, authorization code and/or Archdef, change code. The Retrieve buttons can be used to populate the drop down lists with valid values from the SCLM project definition. Once the correct filters are set, click the OK button and the query is sent to SCLM. A list of members matching the filtered criteria is returned.

Alternatively, the view can be populated by specifying an ARCHDEF. This function scans the ARCHDEF and the Buildmap, if available, to provide a list of all members that are included in the ARCHDEF. Select the Archdef radio button at the top of the screen to activate the Archdef Options. If you know the name of the ARCHDEF you can enter it. The group and type can be left blank and they will default to your development group and a type of ARCHDEF. Change these if you want to display the contents of an archdef that resides higher in the hierarchy, or in a different SCLM Type, such as PACKAGE. You can also click Browse and to display an SCLM Member selection page. Click Refresh Members and the SCLM Project Filter Page is displayed. Enter the Group, Type and any other filter patterns that will help you find the ARCHDEF you are looking for. Click OK to begin the search. Once complete the SCLM Member Selection Page is populated with the groups and members that matched your criteria. Now you can select the ARCHDEF and click OK , the Archdef Option on the original Filter page is populated. Click OK to send the request to SCLM and the list of members contained in your selected ARCHDEF are displayed.

The selection of valid filter values results in the Developer, Explorer and Member views being populated with the member list that match the selected criteria. Switching between filters in the SCLM Repository View will cause the Developer, Explorer and Member views to update accordingly.
Note: If you perform this action multiple times with the same options selected, the existing filter is refreshed.
