You can export a code template to an XML file and import
it into another workspace for sharing with other users or for moving
code templates from one workspace to another.
- To export code templates:
- On the Templates page select one
or more code templates and click Export. The Export Templates window opens.
The default name of the export file is templates.xml. You
can specify a different name.
- Navigate to the location where you want to store the
file and click Save. The templates
are saved to the XML file.
Important: Do not edit the export
file manually. Editing a template export file can have unpredictable
results.
- To import code templates:
- On the Templates page, click Import. The Import Templates window opens.
The default name of the export file is templates.xml.
- Navigate to the location where the file is stored, select
the file, and click Open. The
templates are loaded into the table.
Important: If any
changes have been made to the default shipped templates in the export
file, then the original templates are overwritten. To restore a shipped
template to its default state, select the template name and click Revert
to Default.
