This topic describes the Properties view when the flow editor is
active.
The
Properties view displays relevant information about the currently selected
node, including the following items:
- The name of the node.
- If the node has an input message associated with it, the path and file
name of the message file containing the input message. You can open the message
file with the appropriate message editor from the Properties view (see the following instructions).
- If the node has output messages associated with it, the path and file
name of each output message file. You can open the message file with the appropriate
message editor from the Properties view (see the following
instructions).
To open an input message or output message displayed in
the Properties view with the appropriate message editor, you can use either
of two methods:
- The first method is as follows:
- In the Properties view, double-click the message that you want to open.
- The appropriate message editor (either the flow message editor or the
screen message editor) opens and displays the contents of the selected message.
- The second method is as follows:
- In the Properties view, select the message that you want to open.
- An up-arrow button (
) appears at the far right of the entry that you selected.
- Click the up-arrow button (
).
- The appropriate message editor (either the flow message editor or the
screen message editor) opens and displays the contents of the selected message.
