These steps assume that you have already built a COBOL analysis configuration, run it against some source code files, and generated some results.
If you do not understand these steps, see the links in this topic for additional information.
In the left pane, click the history that you want to view (see Working with histories and results). The most recent history is at the top of the list.
In the right pane, in the toolbar, you can click
to display all the rules that were specified in
the analysis configuration or
to display only the rules for which results
were found in the source code (see Working with histories and results).
Expand a rule that contains results and view the results.
Each result includes a severity icon, the name of the source code file, the beginning line number of the source code affected by the rule, and a statement of the rule (see Working with histories and results).
Right-click the result and click View Result.
The source code file is opened in the COBOL editor and positioned to the relevant lines of source code. The lines are marked by a severity icon in the margin and are temporarily selected so that they are highlighted (see Fixing a problem reported in a result).
View the relevant lines of source code. Make changes in the source code if you wish.
Close the editor when you are finished.
If you made changes in the lines of source code because of a rule result, you can rerun the code review to see if the lines still generate a rule result.
