To run a code review on a remote COBOL source file, you must first open the remote file in the COBOL editor and then start the analysis from a popup menu in the COBOL editor. The steps are described in the help subtopic Starting from the COBOL editor.
Starting a software analysis from the COBOL editor causes the scope of the analysis to be limited to the opened source file, overriding the scope specified in the analysis configuration (see Starting from the COBOL editor).
This restriction means that you cannot run a software analysis on one or more COBOL source files that you have selected in the Remote Systems view. Instead you must run the analysis individually for each remote file, by opening the remote source file in the COBOL editor and starting the analysis from the COBOL editor (see Starting from the COBOL editor).
Alternatively, you can copy a set of remote source code files from the Remote Systems view to a local project, and then run the files as a group as local files (see Starting from the project explorer view).
