Rational Developer for System z

Remove a preprocessor from a property group

You can remove a local, site-developed preprocessor from a property group.

Before you begin

You need to have defined a property group on a local or remote system.

Linux icon For PL/I files, Rational® Developer for System z® does not support local preprocessors on the Linux platform.

About this task

This action deletes a preprocessor definition from a property group. If you want to prevent a preprocessor from executing, but keep the preprocessor definition, clear the check box next to the preprocessor name.

Procedure

To remove a preprocessor from a property group:

  1. Open a property group in the property group editor.
  2. Navigate to the Local Preprocessors tab of the Local COBOL Settings or Local PLI Settings page.
  3. In the Preprocessors section, highlight the name of the preprocessor definition you want to delete and then click the Remove button. The preprocessor definition is deleted from the property group.
  4. Click Ctrl+S to save your changes.
