A host connection has the extension .host (for example, system.host) and is displayed in the Hosts folder of a terminal applications subproject in your service flow project.
Host connection
A host connection is a resource that defines a specific
connection with a host system. A host connection enables you to open the host
editor, run the host editor's terminal emulator, and use the features of the
host editor to create service flow project resources for terminal applications.
Creating a host connection
You can create a host connection for a new service flow
project or for an existing service flow project.
Importing a HATS connection
The Import HATS Connection wizard allows you to generate a host connection file for a service flow project directly from a HATS connection file. (HATS is an acronym for the IBM® WebSphere® Host Access Transformation Services product.)
Opening a host connection
Use the host editor to open a host connection. The host
editor opens the file and automatically attempts to connect with the
host system.
