You should create a JES connection and an MVS connection for each remote z/OS system that you want to connect to. You should also create a z/OS UNIX System Services connection for each remote z/OS system, if you want the Generate Runtime Code wizard to copy Web service files to that system. (See JES, MVS, and connections -- when needed.)
The rest of this topic describes how to create connections using the Remote Systems view in the Enterprise Service Tools perspective. However, if you need additional information about using the Remote Systems view:
See the workbench's online help for the Remote System Explorer (see Creating a connection to a z/OS system).
See your system administrator for information about connecting to JES, MVS, and z/OS UNIX System Services, such as the values to set for the daemon ports for JES, MVS, and z/OS UNIX System Services.
To create JES, MVS, and z/OS UNIX System Services connections using the Remote Systems view:
In the Enterprise Service Tools perspective, in the Remote Systems view, right-click .
Click New Connection. The New Connection wizard opens.
