On the workbench menu bar, left-click . The Preferences window opens.

Change the preferences. The preferences are shown in Table 1.
| Option: | Effect of this option: |
|---|---|
| Automatically capture new screens | Select this check box if you want the host editor to automatically capture an application screen and create a screen description for you whenever you need one during screen operations recording or flow recording (see Option 1 in Providing screen descriptions for recording). |
| Do not prompt for name when automatically capturing screens | Select this check box if you want the host editor
to assign a default name to a new artifact, without prompting you
for a name. This feature applies to the following
artifacts:
|
| Time to wait before attempting screen recognition (milliseconds) | Use this input field to specify the amount of time that the host editor should wait before attempting screen recognition. The default value is 500 milliseconds. This feature prevents the recognition of intermediate transient screens that may appear during the process of recording a screen operation or flow. The time delay can be adjusted to allow the service flow project tools to record the screen recognition for the actual screen that represents the result of the application processing step. |
| Do not prompt for variables when generating variable mapping | This option has an effect during flow recording
when you create an Insert action, an Extract action, or a recorded
loop.
|
| Enable screen invoke creation wizard in flow editor | This option enables a terminal operation configuration wizard. You can drag a terminal operation onto the flow editor canvas and choose the next screen and variables for Insert actions and Extract actions. |
Click OK when done.
