The Software Analysis Results view displays the results
of a COBOL Code Review.
Attention: The Software Analysis Results view preserves
the results of each software analysis that has occurred since Developer
for System z® was last started.
These results are erased when you close Developer for System z. Take care to
create
a report for any results that you want to keep, before you close the
Developer for System z (see
Generating reports). If you lose results
the only way to recover them is by rerunning the code review.
The results of a COBOL Code Review are stored in a history. In
the Software Analysis Results view you can:
- Select a history to work with.
- Study the results from a selected history.
- Fix problems detected by the code review.
The first two items are described in this help topic. The third
item is described in the next help topic (see Fixing a problem reported in a result).
Histories
The left pane
of the Software Analysis Results view lists the histories of the software
analyses run since Rational® Developer
for System z was last started.
Each history is a compilation of the results from a single code review.
Figure 1 shows an example of
a list entry for a history:

The right pane
of the Software Analysis Results view displays the results from the
history that is currently selected in the left pane.
The results
are grouped according to category (such as Performance), rule, source
file name, and line number.
