The following readme provides information about the samples
disk provided with the Rational Developer for System z Unit Test v8.0.3.
The Samples disk contains the following files and
directories:
- File create_devmap.pl
- This is a Perl program designed to create a sample device map
(devmap) which is based on your current Linux configuration and the
DASD volume images in the directory you specify when invoking it.
To run the create_devmap.pl program, you must
have Perl installed. The create_devmap.pl program
has only been tested with Perl 5. Please see the IBM Rational Developer
for System z Unit Test Configuration Guide and the comments inside
the program for more information on invocation, on what to expect
from the output, and what program modifications you can make to customize
the output.
- Directory ConfigGuideSystem
- The ConfigGuideSystem directory contains three DASD volume images
that are configured with the changes described in the Rational Developer
for System z Unit Test Configuration Guide. Installation of these
disks is described in an appendix to that same guide. The volumes
are:
- USER00.gz - A compressed copy of volume USER00
which is used for most new files.
- SYSUT1.gz - A compressed copy of volume SYSUT1
which contains an SMP/E installation of Rational Developer for System
z version 8.0.3.
- PUBLIC.gz - A compressed copy of volume PUBLIC
which is used for temporary files, Note that PUBLIC is empty but formatted.
- Directory DB2_10
- The DB2_10 directory contains thirteen DASD volume
images that contain DB2 version 10 and the configuration files to
use it with the included z/OS distribution. Installation is described
in the Rational Developer for System z Unit Test Configuration Guide.
