Complex arrays require the fields be defined through the
table at the bottom of the Create a Field Array wizard.
Fields in complex arrays can be added, edited, and removed.
Adding Fields
Add fields to a complex array
by clicking the Add button directly to the
right of the table.
- In the Define Field dialog that opens,
specify the Row Offset. This is the offset
from the first row containing an array field. Often, this row corresponds
to the location you click in the Design Panel.
- Next specify the Column Offset. This is
the offset from the first column containing an array field. Often,
this row corresponds to the location you click in the Design
Panel.
- Specify the Number of Fields. This is
the number of times the field will repeat.
Note: If the array direction
is specified vertical, then the fields will repeat from the top to
the bottom of the BMS map. If the array direction is specified horizontal,
then the fields will repeated from the left to right of the BMS map.
- Mark the check box Input field if the defined
fields should be input fields.
- Mark the check box Add Stopper Fields if
stopper fields should be added to the defined fields.
- Click OK to close the dialog. You should
see the field you defined listed in the table.
Editing Exiting Fields
Edit existing fields
by selecting the field in the table and clicking the
Edit button
to the right of the table.
Note: When row and column fields are edited,
the fields will be updated to be placed in the row or column specified
by the edit. Added entries will not have row or column values calculated
based on an offset.
Remove Existing Fields
Remove existing fields
by selecting the field to remove from the table and clicking the Remove button
to the right of the table.
