If the Installation Manager repository on which a push-to-client
product update is stored requires password authentication, users must
store their user IDs and passwords in Installation Manager before
attempting a push-to-client update.
When attempting to install a product update by using push-to-client,
users receive the following error message:
WARNING: The following repositories are not connected:
repositoryAddress
(User authentication is required.)
The repository on which the update is stored requires authentication
with a user ID and password.
If the repository used for update requires user authentication
to access, each user must save a user ID and password in Installation
Manager before attempting to update the product.
- Start Installation Manager.
- Select File > Preferences.
- Click Add Repository.
- In the Repository field, specify the URL
of a repository on the server for which you want to store your credentials.
- Click OK.
- In the Password Required window, type your
user ID and password, select Save password, and
click OK.
- On the Preferences window, click OK.
- Close Installation Manager.
