If you want the Generate Runtime Code wizard to copy its output files to a remote z/OS® system then you must create a connection to the z/OS system in the Remote Systems view before you start the Generate Runtime Code wizard (see Step B3. (Optional) Create a connection to the remote z/OS system using the Remote Systems view).
If you want the Generate Runtime Code wizard to automatically install the Program, Transaction, and ProcessType resources into a CICS® region or to request CICS pipeline scans on a remote z/OS system then you must create and start a connection to a CICS Resource Definition server (see Create and install CICS resources using the Application Deployment Manager).
To start the Generate Runtime Code wizard:
In the EST Project Explorer, right-click the generation properties file that you modified in Part 2.
Select .
At this point the Generate Runtime Code wizard might open the Save Resource window:
The Generate Runtime Code wizard, before displaying its first page, checks to see whether you have made any change to a resource in the current workspace that you have not saved (for example, a change to a message file that you have not saved). These unsaved resources need not be resources that are used by the flow or even by the service flow project for which you are running the wizard.
The Generate Runtime Code wizard opens.
As a convenience, you can also start the Generate Runtime Code wizard by clicking the Generate Runtime Code button in the generation properties editor (see Guide to the generation properties editor).
