Limitation: Performing Endevor RAM-specific Custom Actions on Multiple Elements

When performing CARMA or Endevor RAM-specific custom actions on multiple elements in a z/OS project or MVS subproject, refresh the properties of the elements before performing the actions.

Endevor elements can be extracted to a z/OS project and edited from there. CARMA actions available to these extracted elements are accessible by right clicking and selecting Team. Endevor RAM-specific custom actions are accessible by right clicking and selecting Team > Custom.

When performing the CARMA copy to ram action, Team > Copy to RAM, or the Endevor RAM-specific add action, Team >Custom > Add Element, on multiple Endevor elements in a z/OS project or MVS subproject, refresh the properties of the elements before performing these actions. Failure to refresh properties results in all of the selected elements being written to the same Endevor element.

There are several ways you can refresh the properties of Endevor elements:
  1. In the CARMA Repositories view, select the Endevor element. The properties are loaded and refreshed automatically.
  2. In the CARMA Repositories view, right click the Endevor element, and select Properties. Click the Refresh Properties button at the bottom of the Properties dialog that opens.
  3. Refresh the properties of multiple Endevor elements using the CARMA Fields Tableview.
    1. Open the CARMA Fields Table view.
    2. Expand the view until the elements you are loading properties for are displayed.
    3. Select multiple elements, right click, and select Refresh Fields from the context menu.

Once you have refreshed the properties of the Endevor elements, you can perform these actions.
