If you are using Installation
Manager v1.4.3 or later, the Rational® Developer
for System z® push-to-client
feature cannot be used to update from Rational Developer for System z v8.0.1 to any other level.
Cause
Installation
Manager v1.4.3 or later has changed how users indicate acceptance
of the software license terms and conditions from an attribute in
the user-provided response.xml file to a parameter
passed to Installation Manager when it is started.
Solution
Rational
Developer for System z v8.0.2
or later includes an update that synchronizes the Developer for System z invocation of Installation
Manager with this change. After Developer for System z v8.0.2 or later is installed, you
can install future updates using the push-to-client feature with Installation
Manager v1.4.3 or later. You can use the push-to-client feature to
update Rational Developer
for System z to v8.0.2
or later if you are still using Installation Manager v1.4.2.
Workaround
Update Rational Developer for System z to v8.0.2 or later before updating
Installation Manager to v1.4.3 or later. If you have already updated
to Installation Manager v1.4.3 or later, manually install Rational Developer for System z v8.0.2 or later without
using the push-to-client feature.
