If you expand a mapping file in the EST Project Explorer then the EST Project Explorer displays the mapping routines contained in the mapping file.

The Mapping folder is used with terminal applications, nonterminal applications, and outbound Web services. There is only one Mapping folder in a service flow project.
When you create the first mapping routine and mapping file in your service flow project, the EST Project Explorer automatically creates the Mapping folder and displays it in the EST Project Explorer (see Creating a mapping routine for an Assign node or an Invoke node).
A Mapping folder does not have subfolders.
