The Outline view is linked to the editor area and the Properties view in that selecting a mapping routine, message, or transform in the Outline view causes the same item to be selected or its contents to be displayed in the editor area, and also causes the properties of the item to be displayed in the Properties view (see Linked views).
The contextual menu for the Outline view opens whenever you right-click any portion of the Outline view while the mapping editor is active. Some of the contents of the contextual menu are different depending on where the right-click occurs (over a blank area, over a node, or over a particular type of node).
