Rational Developer for System z, Version 7.6

Create an SCA project and import resources

Using the Enterprise Service Tools perspective in Rational Developer for System z, create an SCA project to contain the application resources.
To create an SCA project and import resources, complete the following steps:
  1. Click File > New > Other > Service Component Architecture > SCA project. Click Next. The Create a New SCA Project wizard opens.
  2. Enter FileaAmountServices in the Project name field.
  3. Select <none> in the Target Runtime list.
  4. If Java is selected as a valid Implementation type for SCA components, deselect it.
  5. Click Finish. The software creates the SCA project.
  6. Import the application resources in either of the following ways:
    • The "Import FILEA Amount Services COBOL sample" link within the CICS SCA FILEA Amount Services sample topic. That link works only if you have help installed locally rather than remotely.
    • The menu path File > New > Example > Workstation COBOL > COBOL Sample with CICS SCA FILEA Examples. You do this in the z/OS perspective to create a local project. Then switch to the EST perspective to create an SCA project and import the application resources from the local project to the SCA project.
The Enterprise Service Tools perspective contains an SCA project called FileaAmountServices. This project a folder of the same name that contains the required application resources to create a composite application.
