Modifying a mapping for an Assign node or an Invoke node

You can modify a mapping for an Assign node or for the input terminal or an output terminal of an Invoke node either from the flow editor or from the EST Project Explorer.

Recall that a mapping routine can be referenced by an Assign node or by the input terminal or an output terminal of most types of Invoke nodes (see Artifacts from which mapping routines can be referenced).

From the flow editor:

Follow the same steps that you would follow to create a new mapping routine for an Assign node or for the input terminal or an output terminal of an Invoke node (see Creating a mapping routine for an Assign node or an Invoke node). If the mapping routine already exists, then the mapping editor opens the mapping file for the flow and displays the mapping routine.

From the EST Project Explorer:

  1. In the EST Project explorer, expand the Mapping folder for the subproject that you want to work on.

  2. Right-click the mapping file that contains the mapping routine that you want to modify.

  3. Select either Open or Open With > Mapping Editor.

  4. The mapping editor opens the mapping file and displays in the mapping routine area the contents of the first mapping routine in the file.

  5. In the Outline view of the mapping editor, select the mapping routine that you want to modify. The mapping editor displays the selected mapping routine in the mapping routine area.

  6. You can now add to or modify the currently displayed mapping routine (see Working with mapping routines and mappings.)

  7. Close the mapping editor.
