The first page of the New COBOL to Mapping wizard
(request mapping), titled New XML to COBOL
Mapping Session, allows you to specify two
files that contain the source XML schema definition and the target high-level-language
data structure that you want to use in the request mapping
session file.
The XML schema definition can be taken or derived from:
(a) an XML schema definition in an XSD file; (b) an XML schema definition
in a WSDL file; or (c) an element in an XML instance document (XML file) (see Files types for the source and target entities in request or response mapping session files).
The fields on this page of the wizard are as follows:
- Mapping source
- Specify a file of type WSDL, XSD, or XML that contains,
defines, or provides an instance of the XML schema definition that you
want to use as the source data structure for the request mapping
session file.
Important: If you specify
a high-level-language file (such as QueryAccount.cbl) for
this field, then the wizard changes to response mapping
mode.
- Mapping target:
- Specify a high-level-language file (extension .cbl, .cob, .cpy, or .ccp)
that contains the data structure that you want to use as the target data structure
for request mapping session file.
