Rational Developer for System z, Version 7.6

Creating an SCA project

To work with Service Component Architecture (SCA) applications you first need an SCA project. SCA projects contain SCA resources such as composites and components.
To create a new project, complete the following steps:
  1. Click File > New > Other > Service Component Architecture > SCA Project. The New SCA Project Wizard opens.
  2. Enter a project name and check the value for Location. Leave Target Runtime as <none>. By default, the location for the project resources is your current workspace. If you want the resources in another location, edit the Location field.
  3. Click Finish when done. A new SCA project is created in your workspace.

Creating an SCA project from the EST Project Explorer view

You can also launch the New SCA Project Wizard from the EST Project Explorer view.
  1. Access the EST Project Explorer view. If it is not already open, click Window > Show View > EST Project Explorer
  2. Right-click in the EST Project Explorer view and select New > SCA Project. The New SCA Project Wizard opens.
