Advanced allocate wizard

The advanced allocate wizard provides the ability to allocate new data sets for use within File Manager Integration.
With the allocate data set wizard, you can perform the following tasks:
Launch the advanced allocate wizard by:
  1. Select a host resource from the Remote Systems view and right click to display the pop-up menu.
  2. Select File Manager then Advanced Allocate.
  3. On the first page of the wizard, titled Allocate Target:
    1. Define the Target data set that you would like to allocate.
    2. If you would like an existing data set to be used as the model for your new data set, define that in the Like data set field.
    3. Select a Library type from the drop-down list for the new data set.
      Note: Based on the selection made here, additional fields will be made available to further customize the allocation
    4. Click Finish to complete the wizard, or Next if you would like to generate data for the data set based on a template.
  4. On the second page of the wizard, titled Map Template:
    1. Place a check mark next to Generate Data to continue with the wizard.
      1. Define the number or records that you would like created.
      2. If you would like to use fill characters, select the type from the drop-down list, then enter the pattern to be used in the text box.
      3. If you would like the data generated to be based on a template, place a check mark next to Use Templates.
      4. Define the template to be used.
    2. Select Finish to exit the wizard and allocate the data set.
