When a local project has been enabled for remote synchronization,
you can perform a remote syntax check. During a syntax check, Rational® Developer for System z® gathers the remote
properties you set when you enable remote synchronization, generates
a syntax check JCL, and submits the JCL to the remote system. Errors
are reported in the Remote Error List.
To perform a remote syntax
check, right-click the project or file, and click Remote
> Syntax check.
If changes have occurred to the file or other files in the
project, Rational Developer
for System z opens a warning
window that prompts you to synchronize your changes.
- Click Yesto stop the syntax check and open
the Synchronize perspective (see Synchronizing manually for
additional information).
- Click No to submit the syntax check JCL
but not synchronize any changes.
- Click Cancel to stop the syntax check from
being submitted.
You can avoid this warning dialog by using the Synchronizing automatically preference.
