Rational Developer for System z, Version 7.6

Part 3. Saving the working screen operations file

After you stop recording, save the working screen operations file to your workstation's file system.
Note: After you record a screen operations file, you can test the screen operations file by playing back individual screen interactions or you can modify the screen operations file using the screen operations file editor.

To save the working screen operations file to disk:

  1. Click the Save Screen Operations File icon Save Screen Operations file.
  2. The host editor writes the screen operations file to disk, using as the file name the name of the working screen operations file. You typed in or selected this name in the Start Recording Screen Operations window when you started recording (see the section Treatment of the working screen operations file). Also, the name of the working screen operations file is displayed in the second line of the information area at the top right corner of this tab of the host editor (see Information area).
  3. The information in the working screen operations file (that is, the copy in memory) is not discarded.
