Using the Database Application Generator wizard

This topic illustrates how to use the Database Application Generator wizard.

Summary

To use the Database Application Generator wizard:

  1. Execute a z/OS® DB2® query to an existing table.
  2. Using the table as a model, generate COBOL or DB2 programs and assets to deploy CICS® services on z/OS.
  3. Show the programs generated: create, replace, update, delete (CRUD), and list table elements.
  4. Show JCL, CICS resource definitions, and WSBIND generated.
  5. Test one of the CICS services created (List) using the WSDL generated and the Web services test client.
