This group of topics describes how to create mappings in the mapping
editor.
Creating a one-sided mapping
To create a one-sided mapping, select the target element and then
click the Create a New Transform icon on the toolbar of the mapping routine area. Alternatively,
you can create a one-sided mapping by using the contextual menu.
Creating a one-to-one mapping
To create a one-to-one mapping, drag the source element to the
target element. Alternatively, you can create a one-to-one mapping by using
the contextual menu.
Creating a one-to-one mapping in two steps
Another way to create a one-to-one mapping is in the following
two steps: (a) first create a new transform with a source element; and (b)
then create a connection from the transform to a target element.
Creating a many-to-one mapping
To create a many-to-one mapping, drag one source element to the
target element, and then drag additional source elements to the transform.
Creating a group mapping
To create a group mapping, drag a source group to a target group.
The target group must have the same data layout as the source group.
