You can deploy a CICS bundle from a CICS Service Component
Architecture (SCA) project.
Before you can deploy a CICS SCA bundle, you must fulfill
the following prerequisites:
- The workspace contains a CICS SCA project.
- The CICS SCA project contains a composite.
- You have a connection to a remote z/OS® UNIX® System Services system. (Note
that only REST-based connections are listed; they are the only ones
that support bundles.)
- You have created a folder on the remote z/OSUNIX System
Services system to deploy the bundle to.
To deploy a CICS SCA bundle, complete the following steps:
- In the EST Project Explorer view, right-click on an SCA
project name, and select Deploy CICS Bundle. A Bundle Deployment Options window
is displayed.
- If you want to change the name of the bundle from the default
name, change the name in the Bundle name field.
- Select the Deploy bundle archive to remote system check
box, and enter in the required information.
- Specify the name of the z/OS UNIX connection.
- Specify the path name of the bundle container.
- Select the Save resource definition to Application
Deployment Manager manifest file check box, and enter
the required information.
- Specify the name of the CICS system or region.
- Specify the bundle location.
- Click Finish.
The specified bundle is deployed to the specified location.
