Recognized screen description

The recognized screen description is the screen description that matches the currently displayed application screen in the host editor.

Whenever the host editor displays another application screen (even if the new application screen is blank or is just a sign-on screen), the host editor automatically evaluates the currently loaded screen descriptions (see Currently loaded screen descriptions) to determine which screen description or screen descriptions in the group, if any, match the newly displayed application screen.

The host editor does this evaluation of screen descriptions whenever a new application screen is displayed, no matter what mode the host editor is in (screen operations mode or flow mode) and no matter whether a recording is in progress or not.

The host editor displays the status of screen recognition in the first line of the information area at the upper right of the host editor's Terminal page (see Information area):
