Using CICS translation support with COBOL

You can integrate CICS® translation into your COBOL build procedures.
To use CICS translation support, follow these steps:
  1. Open the COBOL Settings properties panel for the file or set of files whose build procedure you want to customize.
  2. Select the Use CICS check box. This enables CICS translation using the integrated CICS translator and activates the drop-down list beside the check box.
  3. From the drop-down list, select the level of CICS installed on the remote system.
  4. Optional: If you want to use a separate CICS translator, double-click on the cell corresponding to the Status column in the ELAXFCOT and select "Enabled" in the drop-down list.
If you are using a separate CICS translator, you can specify the properties for the translator by selecting a step under the ELAXFCOT procedure and clicking the Edit step button. A dialog will open, allowing you to specify the properties for the procedure.
