The mapping root area, located across the top of the mapping routine
area, contains the Mapping Root twistie, the mapping
file indicator, the mapping root canvas, and the contextual menu.
The mapping root twistie
The Mapping
Root twistie hides or shows the mapping file indicator and the
mapping root canvas.
The mapping file indicator
The
mapping file indicator displays the name of the mapping file that is opened
in the mapping editor.
Figure 1 shows
the mapping file indicator when a mapping file named
SFMAP_0003.sfmap is
opened in the mapping editor:

If any mapping routine in the mapping file contains a mapping
in which the mapping editor has detected a warning situation or an error situation,
then the mapping editor displays a warning symbol

or an error symbol

inside the mapping file indicator
(see
Figure 2):

Tip: You can move the mouse pointer icon over the mapping
file indicator to display the text associated with the warning or error.
Contextual menu for the mapping root area
The contextual
menu for the mapping root area opens whenever you right-click any portion
of the mapping root area.
