Preferences for COBOL features

You can define and customize the features available to the COBOL programs. Some predefined features are provided.

To display a list of currently configured COBOL features, click Features in the COBOL preferences menu. To change the order of the list, use the Up and Down buttons.

To add a feature to the list, click New. To exclude a feature from the COBOL Program wizard, clear the check box. You do not need to delete the feature.

The default features are as follows:

For each feature, you can define and customize the code that you want to insert into each section of your COBOL program (for example, the Working Storage section or the Procedure Division). In the tabbed editors for each section, enter the code to define each feature. The tabs are as follows:

To use features from an existing XML file, click Import. You can delete or rename some or all of the features. You can also export features (including the ones that you have created), so that they can be shared.
