Suppressed sets

Suppressed sets are records that do not match the record layout defined by the template.

These groups are shown as shadow lines and are identified by the following icon.

To identify the number of records that are suppressed in a particular set, hover your mouse cursor over the shadow line to display the number of records.

Although suppressed sets are displayed as shadow lines, the individual records that make up the suppressed set can still be viewed. To view these records:
  1. Select the Show button located in the Formatted Data Editor toolbar. The Show button located in the Formatted Data Editor toolbar.
  2. Select Suppressed records from the drop down menu
The records that made up the suppressed set will then display as individual shadow lines within the editor. If any of the records can be formatted by the current record layout, the formatting will be displayed, otherwise the unformatted data will be visible. The single format or character page can be used to edit these suppressed records.
