Security settings

This topic defines the security properties (security settings) of a host connection.
Table 1. Security settings
Setting: Description:
SSL Enabled If selected, this setting enables security for the connection.
Security Protocol This setting specifies the security protocol to be used with the connection.
Validate server name against the server certificate subject If this setting is selected, the client verifies that the server name matches the Subject name in the server's certificate.
Client Authentication Send personal certificate to server if requested If selected, this setting enables client authentication for the connection.
Personal certificate file This is the path and file name of the file that contains personal certificates for client authentication.
Personal certificate password This is the password required to open the personal certificate file.
CA Certificate CA Certificate File If specified, this is a certificate authority (CA) file whose contents are to be added to the certificate store.
CA Certificate Store This is a list of the certificates currently in the certificate store.
