Preferences for SCA validation rules

Rational® Developer for System z® lets you set preferences for validation rules for Service Component Architecture (SCA).

Assembly Model

The Assembly Model tab contains general SCA rules. The categories of validation rules are as follows:

Contribution
Pertains to deployable composites that are not resolvable.
Composite
Pertains to missing required attributes, invalid references to containing composites, and the following specific categories of rules that pertain to composites:
  • Artifact Resolution
  • Component
  • Service
  • Reference
  • Property
  • Binding
  • Extensibility
  • Intents and Policy Sets (not supported in CICS®)

WSDL

The WSDL tab contains rules that pertain to the Web Services Description Language. The categories of validation rules are as follows:

Web Service Binding

CICS

The CICS tab contains rules that pertain to the Customer Information Control System. The categories of validation rules are as follows:

CICS Implementation
Validates whether the component type file is resolvable, whether the call type attribute is valid, and whether a program attribute is defined.
CICS Binding
Validates whether the binding file name is resolvable.
Intents and Policy Sets
Are not supported in CICS.
Property
Is not supported in CICS.
