This function migrates new members to SCLM from data sets that are not
managed by SCLM. To migrate new members, select the project, right click and
select Team->Add non-SCLM members to SCLM.
The Add non-SCLM members to SCLM wizard is displayed. To retrieve member
information of various data sets and populate the view for selection, do the
following:
- Specify a data set pattern:
XXX.* retrieves all data sets starting
with XXX (only data sets having 1 additional qualifier) XXX.** retrieves all
data sets starting with XXX.XXX.*.YYY retrieves all data sets with XXX, one
qualifier and ends with YYY. XXX.**.YYY retrieves all data sets with XXX,
multiple qualifiers and ends with YYY. XXX.YYY(*) retrieves all members from
the data set XXX.YYY.
- Press Search for data set button to retrieve all
data set names that match the specified data set name pattern (only PDS/PDSE
with some existing members are returned-empty data sets are skipped).
- Select members to migrate from the list of data sets.
- You can select at the data set name level by selecting the check box next
to the data set name (i.e. all members in the data set will be migrated).
- You can retrieve the members in a data set by highlighting a data set.
Select the Retrieve data set members button (this will
populate the members in the selected data set), then select members individually.
- Once all members are selected, click Next. In the
second page of the wizard, you need to specify the Language and Type for the
members to be migrated to SCLM. Optionally, you can also specify the authorization
code and change code, and specify whether the members should be replaced if
they already exist in SCLM (forced migration mode) .
