You can check the syntax of remote files using a CICS® TXSeries for Windows region by using CICS TXSeries to translate EXEC CICS statements
in your source code.
Your source code must
be in a z/OS® project before
you can locally check the syntax using CICS TXSeries for Windows.
To check the syntax of source code using CICS TXSeries for Windows, do these steps:
- Open the PL/I Settings Properties
page.
- Click the Local Compile Options tab.
- Type TEST,DLLINIT,SYSTEM(CICS) in the Compile
Options field.
- Type \CICS\INCLUDE in the SYSLIB field.
- Select Invoke preprocessor.
- Accept or modify the preprocessor options: MACRO
CICS('SUBSYS(CICSTNT)' edf debug source print) MACRO.
- Click Apply.
- Click OK.
- In the z/OS Projects
view, right-click on the resource you want to check the syntax of
and click
Errors found by the syntax checker will be listed in the Remote
Error List view.
Double-click on an error listed in the Remote Error List
view to display the corresponding line of code in the LPEX Editor.
