You can import a z/OS® project
into your workspace.
You need to know the location of the .zip file containing
an exported z/OS project.
Note: z/OS UNIX subprojects use a different mechanism for
import and are not included in an imported z/OS project. See the related topics for information
about importing z/OS UNIX subprojects.
To import a z/OS project:
- From the z/OS Projects view pop-up
menu, select Import z/OS Project. The Import z/OS Project window opens.
- Specify the name of the .zip file containing the project
you want to import and press Enter or click
the Browse button to navigate to the location
of the .zip file, select the file, and click Open.
Note: If your workspace already contains a project with the
same name as the project you are trying to import, a window opens
prompting you to rename the project you are importing. Type a new
name in this window and click OK.
- To change the high-level qualifier (HLQ) of any of the
subprojects in the project, select the subproject name and click Edit. The HLQ is used to resolve the <HLQ> substitution variable
that appears in some property values associated with resources contained
by the subproject. The Edit High-level
Qualifier window opens
- Select a new HLQ from the High-level Qualifier list
and click OK.
- On the Import z/OS Project window,
click OK. The project is added
to your workspace.
You now have a project that is identical in its properties
and structure to the project defined in the .zip file. You can use
the imported project just as if you had created it yourself: you can
rename it, add subprojects and resources to it, and change its properties.
