Use this preference page to disable automatic refresh of
cached copybooks and include files.
During a content assist operation, when Rational® Developer for System z® finds a copy or include statement
(or one of their synonyms) it checks whether the file is already in
the downloaded cache. If the file is there, the remote system time
stamp of the file is compared to the time stamp of the file in the
downloaded cache. If the file has changed, or if the file on the
remote system does not have a time stamp, a new copy of the file is
downloaded. Selecting the
Do not automatically refresh
cached COBOL copybooks or PL/I include files check box
disables this function. If you disable this function, you can manually
refresh cached copybooks and include files using the
Refresh
cached copy action.
Note: If you change a copybook or include
file, the changes you make are always saved both on the remote system
and in the local cache, and these changes are used in content assist
without selecting Refresh Cached Copy.
