Modifying a property of an action

To modify a property of an action in the screen operations editor, select the action in the Outline view, select a property of the action in the Properties view, and then type or select a value for the property.
Note: You can also use point-and-click methods in the screen operations editor to set the values of some properties (see Using point-and-click to modify a Field property and Using point-and-click to modify Row and Column properties).

To modify a property belonging to an action:

  1. Verify that the screen operations editor is open and that the Actions tab is selected.

  2. In the Outline view, select the action that you want to modify (for example, AID Key: [enter]). The properties of the selected action are displayed in the Properties view.

Tip: If the Outline view is not visible, see Opening or reopening a view.
  3. In the Properties view:
    1. Click the property that you want to modify.
Tip: If the Properties view is not visible, see Opening or reopening a view.
The property's Value cell either becomes an input field or displays a button.
      • If the Value cell becomes an input field:
        1. Type the value that you want to use into the input field.
      • If the Value cell displays a button:
        1. Click the button.
Note: For the AID key property of an AID key action, the button is at the far right of the Value cell.
        2. A window opens and prompts you for input.
        3. Provide the input and click OK.

For more information about individual actions and their properties see Overview of the actions.
