Suppressed sets are records that do not match the record
layout defined by the template.
These groups are shown as shadow lines and are identified by the
following icon.
To identify the number of records that are suppressed in a particular
set, hover your mouse cursor over the shadow line to display the number
of records.
Although suppressed sets are displayed as shadow lines, the individual
records that make up the suppressed set can still be viewed. To view
these records:
- Select the Show button located in the Formatted
Data Editor toolbar.

- Select Suppressed records from the drop
down menu
The records that made up the suppressed set will then display
as individual shadow lines within the editor. If any of the records
can be formatted by the current record layout, the formatting will
be displayed, otherwise the unformatted data will be visible. The
single format or
character page can be used to edit
these suppressed records.
