The properties configuration file defines the locations
of the system property group and default values files.
To define the properties configuration file, do these steps:
- Create a file called propertiescfg.properties in
the installation directory, /usr/lpp/rdz of the remote system. The
root configuration file must be encoded in EBCDIC.
Tip: Copy propertiescfg.properties from
the installation directory to the same customization directory where rsed.envvars resides
to avoid overwriting it when applying maintenance. In the samples
used in the Rational® Developer
for System z® Host Configuration
Guide, the customization directory is /etc/rdz.
- Include the following key=value parameters. Change the
DEFAULT-VALUES and PROPERTY-GROUP parameters to point to the base
directory for the other property group definition files. The default
value is /var/rdz/properties.
