You can use the New SCA Component Wizard to create a component
with initial values for its composite, interface, and implementation.
To create an SCA component, complete the following steps:
- Right-click the name of an SCA project, and select . The New Component Wizard opens.
Note: The component
wizard can also be opened from the following locations:
- The SCA Content and Composites nodes in a project and from another component
nodes in a project. Right-click the name of any of these nodes and select .
- By selecting .
- Update the fields according to your project requirements.
- Project
- Enter the name for the SCA project you want to add the component to. If
you right-click a project when you start the wizard, the Project field
will be populated with that project name.
- Composite
- Select the composite that will contain the component. If you need to first
create a composite, click the New button to launch
the New Composite Wizard.
- Component Name
- Enter a name for the component. The component name must be unique to the
composite.
- Interface Type
- If the component is to provide a service, select an interface type. Interface
information can be changed later in the component property values. Possible
values for Interface Type are: <No service>, <Reflect
from implementation> (works for Composite but not for CICS®), and WSDL.
- Interface Name
- If you want to reuse an existing interface, click the Select button
to browse your project and other locations.
- Implementation Type
- Specify either CICS or Composite.
- Implementation Name
- If you want to reuse an existing implementation, click the Select button
to browse your project and other locations.
- If you choose Composite for the implementation
type and selected the Create a new implementation radio
button, click Next and check the initial values that
will be used for the implementation. Fields on this screen are
the same as those in the New Composite Wizard.
