The Palette view provides Design page selection tools and
device format definition components.
The Palette view includes the following items:
Click the specific drawer label to show or hide the item list.
Default drawer
The Default drawer
contains the Select and Marquee tools
that come with Eclipse for editing files (including MFS files) that
are based on the Graphical Editing Framework (GEF). For information
on how to use these tools to select and move items, see Design page.
Customizing the Palette view
Right-click
the palette and select
Customize to add or
change drawers or definition components.
The following drawer and
component display options can be customized.
- Name
- The name displayed in the palette
- Description
- Text that is displayed when you move the mouse pointer over the
palette item
- Hide
- A check box that prevents the item from being displayed
in the palette
The following drawer options are available.
- Open drawer at start-up
- The drawer is expanded when the Palette view is shown.
- Pin drawer open at start-up
- The drawer remains pinned open unless you click on the drawer
to close it.
You can hide any of the drawers or add new drawers.
However, you cannot delete the initial drawers.
You can change
the default display properties for the palette entries from the Preferences dialog.
