Note on "<Message>.<element>": In describing the steps to be followed, this tutorial sometimes uses the syntax <Message>.<element>, where <Message> is the name of a valid message and <element> is the name of an element within that message, as a short way of stating the idea "the element <element> in message <Message>". An example is using the expression v_CheckItemAvailability.available instead of the words "the message element available in message v_CheckItemAvailability". This dot-convention is borrowed from ESQL syntax.
