To issue a command to the engine, enter it in the Debug Console Debug Engine Command field. When you enter commands into this field, they are added in the right-hand pane of the console to the list of commands that you have already issued. This list of commands can be reordered by dragging a command to another position. You can also delete commands from the list by right-click pop-up menu actions or by buttons at the top of the console. To save the command list for later use, you can export it to a file and then import it for other debug sessions. To reissue a command in the list, double-click it.
The Debug console can be helpful in building scripts that allow you to put the program that you are debugging in a known state. In the Debug Console Debug Engine Command field, type echo on. After doing this, each action that you perform in the debugger will display as a command in the view. You can then copy these commands and use them for building scripts. Another useful command is the help command, which displays a list of the commands that you can issue to the debug engine from the Debug Console.
