You can set the data import configuration properties for
the COBOL source file that you import into your project.
Before you begin
On the Importer page, you can set the data import configuration
properties for your data binding file. You can change the defaults
for these properties in the
Preferences page. Alternatively, you can change
the properties in the source code in the Java™ editor after you close the wizard.
Procedure
- Platform: select the platform on which the COBOL program
runs.
- Code Page Selection: indicate the code page of the COBOL
program on the target platform.
- To set the advanced data import configuration properties,
click Show Advanced.
- Floating Point Format
- IEEE 754
- IBM® Hexadecimal
- Endian
- Little: The little endian representation of integer data.
- Big: The big endian representation of integer data.
- Remote integer endian
- Little: For user exits, such as DFHCNV macros.
- Big: For user exits, such as DFHCNV macros.
- External decimal sign
- Quote: A figurative constant or reserved word that represents
one or more occurrences of the quotation mark character (") or of
the apostrophe character (').
- Trunc: Normally, CICS® or IMS™ COBOL programs are compiled
with the TRUNC(BIN) option.
- NSymbol:
- NATIONAL: This property means that the USAGE NATIONAL clause
is specified.
- DBCS: This property means that the USAGE DISPLAY-1 clause
is specified.
- Click Next.
