You import the PhoneBook MFS source file that is needed
to create the J2C Java™ Bean.
The MFS Source (dfsivf1.mfs)
defines the structure of the input and output messages of the IMS™ IVP Phonebook application.
Procedure
- From the IBM® Rational® Application Developer for WebSphere® Software, click to start the wizard. The Select
a wizard page opens.
- Expand the J2C folder and select
the J2C Java Bean wizard. Click Next.
The Resource Adapter Selection page opens.
- Choose the version of the IMS TM resource
adapter to use for your project.
Click Next. The Connector
Import page opens.
- Select the target server, and click Next. The Adapter Style page opens.
- Select the appropriate runtime environment from Target
Server, and click Next.The Scenario
Selection page opens. Select IMS MFS-based applications.
- Click IMS MFS-based applications and
click Next. The Discovery
Configuration page opens.
- Click Add and navigate to the folder
where you can select the dfsivf1.mfs source file
to import. Click Open to return to the Discovery
Configuration window.
- Optionally, you can click Browse to
navigate to and select a device characteristic table from your local
directory.
- To select a host code page, click Select on
the Host Code Page field.
- In the MFS File Format field, click text.
- Select a text code page from the list, or accept the default
value.
- Click Next. The dfsivf1.mfs file is parsed
through the MFS Importer and returns an operation that contains both
MID and MOD names. The operation displays on the Object
Discovery and Selection page.
