Procedure
To install InfoSphere Optim Query Workload Tuner, Version
4.1.1 by using the IBM® Installation
Manager wizard:
- If IBM Installation
Manager is already installed on the workstation, ensure that it checks
automatically for updates to itself.
- Start IBM Installation
Manager.
- Select .
- In the Preferences window, select Updates.
- On the Updates page, select the option Search
for Installation Manager updates. Then, click OK.
- Close IBM Installation
Manager.
- On the product DVD or in the extracted content of the .zip file that you downloaded from IBM
Passport Advantage®, double-click the
appropriate file for your operating system:
- On 32- bit Windows operating systems:
launchpad.exe
- On 64-bit Windows for users without administrator privileges:
launchpad_win_nonadmin64.exe
- On Linux operating systems:
launchpad
- In the launchpad, select Install Product.
- Specify whether to run an administrative installation or
a non-administrative installation.
- On the Select Packages page of the wizard, select the package or packages
that you want to install.
- If you have the full installation image for InfoSphere Optim Query Workload Tuner, which
includes both the Data Studio client and the license activation kit, select the package for the Data
Studio client, the license activation kit, or both packages.
- If you have installation image for the license activation kit or trial license activation kit
only, select the package for this kit.
- On the Install Packages page of the
wizard, choose one of the following actions:
- If you are installing the Data Studio client for the first time,
create a new package group.
- If you are installing the license activation kit only into an
existing installation of the Data Studio client, version 4.1.1, specify
the package group in which the client is located.
- Finish the remaining steps in the wizard.
