In addition to using the policy sets that ship with the
product, you can import policy sets that were exported from a server.
After importing these policy sets into your workspace, you can attach
them to your web services and clients.
Before you begin
Your file system contains policy sets that were exported from
a server. You might obtain these policy sets, for example, by using
an administrative console for the server or by contacting your web
service provider. Exported policy sets are stored in .zip files.
About this task
To import policy sets into your workspace:
Procedure
- On the main menu, click .
- Browse to the .zip file containing the policy set, and
click Finish. The policy sets that
you have imported are displayed in the Service Policies preferences
page.
What to do next
Once you have imported a policy set you can set it as
the default, delete it, or restore the original settings in the Service
Policies Preferences page.
- If you want to delete a policy set, select the set in the list
and click Delete. You cannot delete a policy
set that is shipped with the product.
- If you want to restore the original policy set list and the default
policy set to the original settings when you installed the product,
click Restore Defaults.
