You can add existing Java™ projects in your workspace
to an enterprise application as utility JAR files. You can use the
deployment descriptor editor to add utility JAR files to the enterprise
application
Procedure
- In the Enterprise Explorer view of the Java EE perspective, right-click the deployment
descriptor for your enterprise application project and select to open the application deployment descriptor editor.
- In the Project Utility JARs section of the Module page
of the editor, click Add.
- Select one of the projects from the list and click Finish.
- If the target server specified for the project is different
from the target server specified for the enterprise application, the
Change Target Server dialog opens. Click Yes to
update the target server for the project to be the same target server
specified for the enterprise application.
Results
Now the utility JAR file is added to your enterprise application.
Before you can use the classes in this JAR file from projects in the
application, you must add this JAR file as a dependency for the project.
