Excluding methods during EJB module assembly

You can specify methods that you want to mark as not callable by the assembly descriptor.

About this task

The methods that you exclude are added to the <excludes-list> element in the EJB deployment descriptor.

Procedure

  1. In the Enterprise Explorer view of the Java™ EE perspective, right-click the deployment descriptor for your EJB project and select Open With > Deployment Descriptor Editor to open the deployment descriptor editor.
  2. On the Assembly page of the editor, click Add in the Excludes List section.
  3. Select one or more enterprise beans from the list of beans found and click Next.
  4. Select one or more method elements that you want to add to the excludes list.
  5. Click Finish.

Results

The selected method elements are added to the <excludes-list> element in the deployment descriptor and displayed in the Excludes List section, sorted by bean.

What to do next

To delete a method from the excludes list, select the method and click Remove.
