You need to obtain a license from IBM. You also need to install version 1.3, 1.4 or 1.5 of the Telelogic License Server.

For information on how to obtain a license from IBM, and how to install the Telelogic License Server, see the Telelogic Lifecycle Solutions Licensing Guide. What's new in version 1.1

The major topics in 1.1 are listed bellow. Improvements and bug fixes have been made to all areas in RPE.

Known problems

XSL-FO output with many tables - if the output contains many tables the XSL-FO generation will consume significant system resources. If the XSL-FO output is not needed it is recommended to remove this output from the list, especially when running remotely, to reduce resource use.

PDF output with headings coming from IBM Rational DOORS - if TOC is used and the headings coming from DOORS end with tab the PDF output cannot be generated. The solution is to remove the tab character from the DOORS headings.

PDF output with tall images in tables - if an image hosted in a table is taller than the page height the PDF output cannot be finalized. The solution is to set the image max height property to a value smaller then the page height for all images/texts contained in tables.

Tau Diagram Generation on RedHat Linux Enterprise Edition - if diagrams are extracted from Tau the document generation succeeds but the JVM crashes afterwards. The documents are correctly generated.

Document Studio with large images - loading large images in Document Studio can fail. The solution is to reduce the image resolution or to refer the image through its path instead of loading it in the template.

IBM Rational Tau non-ASCII characters - strings containing non-ASCII characters cannot be extracted.

49623 Internal Data sources can be removed while references to them still exist.
