Issues with installing and upgrading

Issue with upgrading to v3.5

If you upgrade to Rational DOORS for HP Quality Center Interface 3.5, and the Windows Synchronization Timer service fails to start, the upgrade will fail.

Solution:

  1. Click Start > Run, and type regedit.
  2. In the Registry Editor, navigate to the registry sub key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control.
  3. In the Details pane, locate the ServicesPipeTimeout entry.
  4. Right-click Modify. If the ServicesPipeTimeout entry does not exist, you must create it (select Edit > New > DWORD Value, type ServicesPipeTimeout, and click Enter).
  5. Click Decimal, type 100000, and click OK.
  6. Restart the computer.

Issue with installing the integration server when the local path to the default website is not on the default drive

When you install the integration server and the local path for the home directory of the default website is not on the default drive, the installation procedure copies DOORSTDIServices and DOORSTDIntegrationWebServices to the root drive.

Solution:

After the installation of the integration server is finished, browse to the DOORSTDIServices and DOORSTDIntegrationWebServices folders and move them to the correct location.
