An interaction is a model element that specifies how messages are sent between classifier roles to complete a specific task. An interaction instance must belong to a collaboration. The collaboration contains the classifier roles that collaborate to complete the task, and the interaction contains the messages that the classifier roles exchange and diagrams that illustrate the interaction.
