Existing user-encrypted DXL needs to be re-encrypted using the DXL Encryption Tool. DXL encrypted with Rational DOORS 9.0 or earlier does not work with Rational DOORS 9.1 or 9.2. If you do not have the source DXL files for any DXL that needs to be re-encrypted, contact Customer Support for help with re-encryption.

To install the DXL Encryption Tool, run ratlDOORS_DXLEncrypt_9-2-0.exe and unzip the contents to a directory on your computer.

To encrypt a DXL file:
If these characters are missing Rational DOORS will not be able to execute the DXL.
end_user_protdxl.exe "dxl to be encrypted" > "output encrypted dxl"
Where "dxl to be encrypted" is the relative path and name of the DXL file you want to encrypt and "output encrypted dxl" is the relative path and name for the output.
